Description
Engineering at the expert level breaks into two disciplines: gnome and goblin. While I think it is a waste, you should be aware of gnome specialization. They make items and gadgets that claim to change the world, but rarely work.<name>, read this manual. If you wish to learn how to make metal paper weights, then take the manual to Oglethorpe Obnoticus in Booty Bay. Remember - membership is permanent and prevents joining the other discipline, so make sure you are sure before finishing his task.

Upon completion of this quest you will gain:- 420 experience ( 2 52 at max. level)
1. Get artisan engineering. (See my post above to figure this out.)
2. Go to Tinkerwiz in Ratchet. He's in the observatory, next to Gazlowe.
3. Get the Gnome Engineering quest from him. He may have an exclamation point, he may not, but he should still have the quest.
4. Talk to Oglethorpe Obnoticus in Booty Bay. I can't really explain how to get to him, so run to the very center of BB's "arc" then look for the minimap dot.
5. Complete the quest and the next one he gives you. These are straightforward.
6. Complete "Show Your Work."
7. Enjoy.
EDIT: The Membership Card Renewal quest Obnoticus offers is only necessary if your Membership Card runs out of time. This is the purpose of the timer on the item tooltip.
