Description

Upon further analysis of the Gnomeregan situation, it would appear as though we not only failed to eradicate the troggs but we also happened to turn most of the gnomish race into horrific, mindless, evil-doing leper gnomes.

Ozzie and I plan to reverse the horrible leper effect with our latest invention: The Recombobulator. The machine is almost complete but we are in dire need of some Restabilization Cogs and Gyromechanic Gears. Retrieve some from the leper gnomes out front of Gnomeregan for us.

Hi, I've attempted to do this quest, I collected both sets of 8 parts, the restabilization cogs and the gyromechanic gears. I ran back to Razzle and there's no mark over his head and he doesn't respond to clicks. Is this quest currently working? Thanks ahead of time for help and information.

From Brewnall Village, you'll find them just a hint North West from there. Almost due West of the lake.

The Leper Gnomes like to run, which will typically mean that they come back with a friend, so do what you can to kill them before they get too far. Also, they like to hit you with "Decayed Strength", which reduces your strength by 2.

For those with Cosmos, or Titan Panel and like coordinates, I started finding Leper Gnomes around 26,43 approaching from the South.

After you complete the quest, be sure to stand back and watch Razzle Sprysprocket's invention kick into action. It's pretty funny.

Every time i draft a new gnome or dwarf I do this quest and zomfg i must say without a doubt after several lvl 70s with full t6 gear it is by far the most annoying quest i have ever done in my life along side aswell any of the achindoun quests b/ the spirit healer is ALWAYS on the complete opposite end of the zone. Normally im not one to wish harm onto anyone but If by some fluke of luck the blizzard designer for these zone's sprite placement should befall a heart attack and fall to the ground in silent agony to be only a fraction of an inch out of reach of altering someone to his duress I'd probably lean in and say "poetic justice is a beautiful thing".

How to complete (Quest #412):
  1. accept quest /way 45,86, 49,31
  2. go around /way 27,48, 37,56
  3. kill (NPC #1211) for drop 8x Restabilization Cog (43% drop rate) and 8x Gyromechanic Gear (42% drop rate)
  4. return quest /way 45,86, 49,31

Actually the gnome who gives the quest has been known not to be very compliant, the GM's are working on it though.

Is this a engineer-only quest? I've gotten it with my mage eng. but not my hunter. And the prolonging of me getting to lvl 10 and getting a pet makes the latter quests much more difficult. Help!

sry to be the one to say it but all this is a alot of rubbish , give co-ordinates and details on what to do not how you blitzed it lol i couldnt give a crap about how or who you did the quest with just were the hell i can do the quest .

plz in future post co-ordinates first and instructions , not gobldygook

I got this quest a couple weeks ago. I was able to share it with a group-mate, and we were able to collect all the cogs and what-not. Our quest logs both show "(completed)" but the stupid gnome wont talk to us.

Long story short: As of May 22, 2005 it's still BROKE.

If you get a chance, try reporting to Blizz. Maybe if enough of us do it, it will get fixed. Not that the reward is the best ever, but its a funny and cool little quest.

This quest starts at 29,43 you can see where the leper gnomes live and the smoke rising. Its right behind Evershine village. The parts are dropped for the gnomes. Easy at lvl9.

Don't know when this was fixed, but it worked fine for me tonight. Drops were quite fast, often both bits dropped off one gnome and most gnomes had at least one of them.

Green Gnomes located in Gnomeregan, follow the path north. Their around level 8-10 If you go inside the real Gnomeregan, their level 20+. You can't miss them.

Well it's October 5th -2005 on Aleria server this quest is still broke. I collect the required items and the green jerkk face wont talk to me. Oh well. Got to kill tons of little green guys while I did it.

Lol they are indeed. If you are new, don't go charging into Gnomeran... Unless you love funerals. The mobs there are ? to level 16's. It's a much higher adventure, and everything you willl need for lower levels is outside it to my knowledge.
