The farm is Valgan's Field, not Ivar's Patch.

the house is north-east of the bridge. the book is on the second floor on the floor in the room. Once you have done that another mob will appear so make sure youre not low on health or mana once you have found the books

&nbsp After reading all the posts here my undead knees were knocking when I walked up to Argul's house... but it isn't hard at all if you play it carefully. It is MUCH easier as a Rogue since you can stealth yourself in, but any other class should be fine if you don't barge in like Rambo.

&nbsp I went behind the house but was unable to get the action icon on the book (maybe Blizzard searches forums too?), so I went around the house to the far side. Going to the far side is much better than going in the near side (the side closer to the road), since there were 3 Whitescalps in a pretty tight patrol pattern on that side, but only one on the far side.

&nbsp Once you're in the door, there will be a Whitescalp directly in front of you all the way back against the back wall of the house. As soon as you see him, CHARGE into him. He'll run up to attack you, but you should continue running to the back wall where he was standing. You should make it taking only one or two hits. The reason is almost the moment you walk in another Whitescalp spawns at the door, and you DON'T want a double-aggro Whitescalp sandwich with you in the middle.

&nbsp After you take out that Whitescalp, carefully inch toward the front door and pull the Whitescalp guarding the door in when you're as sure as you can be that there are no other Whitescalps near him. I didn't see any come in his aggro circle, but some came very close while they were all milling around out in the field. Pull the Whitescalp as far back as you can into the house before you dispatch him.

&nbsp Heal up and start going up the stairs. There is a Whitescalp at the top... however there is another in the upstairs room to the left of the stairs. You need to watch the doorway until you're sure the Whitescalp in the room is far enough away not to aggro along with the Whitescalp upstairs. Pull the Whitescalp at the end of the stairs down to the first floor and send him to oblivion there.

&nbsp The last Whitescalp is no problem since there is only one in the room. Swagger on in and knock 'em on the noggin until he stops twiching.

&nbsp Heal up and when you're ready, click on the books, but DON'T immediately pick up the scroll. Escape out of the pickup and face the doorway. A Whitescalp will teleport in howling about people taking things and such... the important part is only ONE Whitescalp runs in. If you've gotten this far, you can easily take him.

&nbsp Once you're done wiping Whitescalp chunklets from your clothes, go back and click on the books again. The Remedy is still there, all ready for you to pick up.

&nbsp Carefully make your way back out.

&nbsp Using stealth and dual wielding some hefty steel I was able to carve through the Whitescalps rather quickly, so I'm not sure if they respawn. I didn't hang around to find out.

&nbsp This is one quest that you can succeed in by playing like a Rogue even if you aren't one. Engage your enemies one at a time and pick the battles that you want to fight, rather than letting the enemy decide how and where you fight.

What a completely ridiculous reward for a mage, lol.

I found the respawn rate at Valgan's Field was INCREDIBLY quick, so be ready - when you come down from the upstairs and walk outside, you will get jumped by at least one, maybe up to two or three mobs.

i actually found the books down stairs on my lvl 15 magi. a darkrunner did spawn but said nothing. it may be bugged for me. but other then that, very nice quest

The cords is 52.28 east for the bridge when you cross it to the north. Its in the top floor (2nd :P) inner room. a lvl 12 noob will spawn when you pick the scroll up.

easily soloed by a 12 mage...its the first farm on the right after heading north on the north side of the river. Southern house, and the books are on the second floor sitting underneath an undead.

The old "behind the house trick" has been fixed and does not work anymore.&nbsp I had to resort to the old fashioned way.&nbsp I used the old "fireball in the face trick".&nbsp It worked like a charm.&nbsp The Moonrage Darkrunners instantly aggro as soon as you get the remedy of arugal though.&nbsp They respawn almost instantly after you kill them as well so as soon as you get the remedy move to a safe distance.

Go up by the [red]bridge[/red]. Turn right into the [red]first farm[/red]. Then go into the [red]HOUSE (not barn)[/red], go [red]upstairs[/red], into the [red]innermost room[/red]. The book is in the [red]back of the room[/red].

Inside the Cavin on the Second floor, Kill the two 12 lvl Humanoids and open the Book on the floor.
After taking the scroll lvl 11 Humanoid spaws so be ready.

there is also a battered chest if you are coming in to the house from the south...

there is also a chest in the room with the books

i had a level 11 pop when i looted the spell...killed it pretty easily. that kill gave me 82 EXp and helped me ding level 14.

i gained [Yellow]875 exp from the quest, arcane intellect 2 (+7 intellect) and 100 reputation gained. plus a quest follows this one![/Yellow]

not a suicide mission. You have to open the book uninteruppted

Head north on the road from The Sepulcher, then turn right after the bridge. There are two buildings separated by the fields, which are crawling with moonrage werewolves. The southern building is the house the books are located on the second floor. After you loot the spell, a lvl 12 moonrage appears and attacks you.

Turned this in, received 875 exp, a rebuff of Arcane Intellect 2 (+ 7 int) and a standard increase to UC rep at lvl 13 (quest yellow).

The books aren't always on the second floor i found them just infront of the entrance (I'M bulgarian for that reason i write with so many mistakes)

Finished it as a lvl 11 priest. Its the building to the right, on the second floor. spellbooks on the floor.

ive gone there as my mage lvl 20 and no books anywhere, switched on my druid 54 and still not there. bugged?

If you do loot from behind the building, make sure you immediately run as you might aggro the NPC's from the building. I did. All 4 of them!

this quest was very easy as lvl 12 mage with all red gear :P just aggro 1 mob at the time.

And for ppl that are still confused.. it's in Valgan's field.. the house on the south side of the field that looks like a house, not the barn looking building:)
