Bring 6 Glutton Shackles and 3 Darksoul Shackles to Dalar Dawnweaver at the Sepulcher.

Description

After examining Arugal's work my worst suspicions were confirmed. The old hack was not qualified to clean chamber pots in Dalaran let alone represent the Kirin Tor in its most dire hour. Fools!

Arugal used enchanted items to reinforce his weak magic. I need to examine these items first hand. Travel forth and slay Moonrage Gluttons and Moonrage Darksouls until you have collected enough of their enchanted shackles for my research. The foul creatures have been seen to the north and east.

Just go North from Dalar Dawnweaver behind the house and you will go down a steep hill. At the bottom go to the left and you will find the Darksouls and the Gluttons. They have a camp there with a treasure chest that will pop up from time to time next to the tree in the middle of the camp. If you kill all of them and still need more shackles you can contiune east to the beach and you will find plenty more.

Found a bunch at 56, 48 . It's a cave southeast of the sepulcher. Levels 12-15.

Both Darksoul and Gluttons respawn fast here. Also the drop rate is not that great but might take 2 or 3 respawns to get it all.

They are located on a part of the map called North Tide's Hallow
For those who dont have Cords It's Directly north of Sepulcher along the West coast.

I was able to complete the quest within about 10 min. Farely good drop rate. :D

The most common place the Moonrages are found are near the river on the east side of the bridge. Watch out for the Sons of Arugal. Camps can be spotted and their a lot of them.

Darksoul shackles have a higher drop rate then Gluttons.

took me ages to do this. those damn darksouls!

i finally did it and was on my way back to the road whan out of nowhere that SOB Son of whats-his-name turned up and clobbered me one (lvl 18 hunter) i'm sorry to say i took the cowards way out and legged it. i sent my pet to attack it to keep it busy then ran. ^_^ happy ending, neither me nor my pet died! but she is cursed.....

found plenty of em at the caves, fast respawn, halfway decent drop rate, if you dont get em all the first run through the caves, then just do it again. still, darksouls still have crapy drop rate.

at 55,48 they spawn heavily, inside the caves thiers tons of darksouls, if you run out of the cave be prepared to be chased by 4 more things lol. took VERY long.

Although you would think that only the Darksouls and Gluttons at the camp (loc 42,30) drop the Shackles, there are plenty of others nearby that *can* drop them as well. The Loot Proc appears to work on the location of the kill, not the spawn location, so luring the others nearby back to the camp for the kill will usually cause the Shackles to drop.

Quite possibly the fastest respawn rate of any mobs in the game. I am a 60 mage AoE farming Undercity rep (for the mount) and these guys would respawn nearly instantly. I killed 9-10 in about 7 seconds on my way into the cave, and on my way out they were all there.

56,48 is the place to be.

NOTE: This is the same place where you kill the named mob for the follow-up quest.

North Tide's Hollow - both inland and on the coast, there are plenty of both enemy. This is a large area, but 42,30 is in the thick of it. Happy hunting!

Took me 10 minutes to get all but one darksoul shackle, the last shackle then took me another 10 minutes just on its own, lol.

Go to 57,45, they do spawn fast and you really never have to enter the cave that far, although that's where most of the dark souls are.

Camp is located in Silverpine Forest at (43,30). Keep an eye out for the level 24 Elite "Son of Arugal" that roams the area frequently.

im (lvl 15 warlock) having trouble with this quest by going into the camp becuz when u attk one best 3 more jump on u almost every single time. so i found it easier to go north of the npc where u get the quest and go down the very steep hill and go a little to the right and cross the creek on the log then over there u can attk each beast one by one :)

54, 48 is entrance to mountain ,.. south east of spectular or what ever the name of the town is .

just go out of the town and south then , the first left you can make its right there

PtrJCrscl is right about the location,
Jump down the hill to the left of the house that you can find north of the Sepulcher. There's a small camp at the left of you (avoid at lower level). More to the west is a beach with plenty more that you can take on one by one. Be awared as the elite son of arugal may pop up. Herbalists pay close attention to your minimap, lots of herbs in this area!

Did this at lvl 20 (rogue)

i'm doing the quest now...and killed like 8 darksouls...nothing from them and i have 5 gluton shackles...and the best place to go is deep elem mine in my opinion...

The Glutton Shackles dropped a lot quicker than the Darksoul Shackles for me.
I've been getting 1 Darksoul Shackle for every respawn.
