A Little Slime Goes a Long Way

Bring 6 Filled Cursed Ooze Jars and 6 Filled Tainted Ooze Jars to Laris Geardawdle in Ironforge.

Description

But the thing I've studied most is ooze. I know it sounds odd, but they're all over!

I helped a lady in Menethil find her bag not too long ago--it was eaten by oozes. I've seen members of the Royal Apothecary Society from Undercity collecting samples of the stuff. I want to know why! Where does it come from?

I've heard of more in Felwood. What I need are samples of the oozes there so I can further my research. I'll give you containers, you use them to collect a sample from the deceased creatures.

1. Tainted Ooze's:
In Felwood at "Bloodvenom Falls" there is a pond.&nbsp Location 40 , 48.&nbsp Around the pond are Tainted Ooze's Level 51-53.
***&nbsp 6 kills 6 filled Tainted Ooze Jar's&nbsp ***

2 Cursed Ooze's:
In Felwood at "Ruins of Constellas" there is yet another pond.&nbsp Location 40, 66.&nbsp Again around the pond are Cursed Ooze's level 49 - 50.&nbsp

Use the empty jars on the oozes after you kill them. Just make sure to loot them first.

You will need to travel to Felwood for this quest.

You will receive a box with the jars in them. If you are having inventory troubles (full inventory, etc) leave them in the box until you are ready to do the quest. After you open the box, you will receive 2 sets of 6 jars. One set for the Tainted Ooze, one set for the Cursed Ooze.

The Tainted Ooze can be found at the two ponds in Jaedenar. The coordinates are 40, 59 and 40, 55 for those two ponds.

The Cursed Ooze can be found just south of there at two other ponds. The coordinates for those two ponds are 40, 67 and 40, 71.

After you kill the Oozes, be sure to loot them. Then, select their dead "body" and use the appropriate container (Cursed or Tainted, depending on what you just killed) to fill the jar with ooze.

When you are finished, you will need to fly back to Ironforge to turn in the quest to Laris Geardawdle in the Hall of Explorers.

A funny note for anyone who happened to quest in Menethil...

The Tainted are in the small green pools on either side of the promenade leading into Jadenar.

The Cursed are south, but also next to the main road, at the Ruins of Constellas.

The oozes are in Felwood. The Tained Oozes are found mostly at Jaedenar. You can find some at Bloodvenom Falls tho. The Cursed Oozes are at the Ruins of Constellas, south of Jaedenar. After you kill the oozes, click on them, and right click on the container he gives you and it puts it in the bottle. Hope this helps.

The key here is to first highlight the corpse of the killed critter, THEN right-click the container. Works every time if you do it that way.
As the container warns, the corpse is destroyed afterwards, so make sure to loot first!
An added bonus: you can fill the container from corpses killed by other players :-)

1) Make sure the ooze is dead.
2) Make sure you're right-clicking the right type of Jar! This was my problem for a couple of kills. You get two different kinds of jars. One for the tainted, one for the cursed. You gotta click the proper type for its corresponding type of ooze to collect.

I forgotten where Laris Geardawdle is in Ironforge.&nbsp I completed the slime quest but there's no yellow icon on my map showing me where Laris is in Ironforge.&nbsp Can anyone help please?&nbsp Thanks.

Finally figured this out!&nbsp The crate has BOTH cursed ooze AND tainted ooze jars to fill!&nbsp You need to use the (correct) same jar on the same ooze.&nbsp Clik 2x on the crate to release both jars.

The slimes hang around the pools near Jaedenar. Cursed ones towards the south and Tainted ones a bit north of them. Fairly easy solo at 50 (druid). Mostly single pulls.

6350 XP at level 50. Reputation with Gnomeregan Exiles "greatly increased".

Cursed are at 41,67 and 41,70 mostly lvl 48 - 49

Tainted are at 41,56 and 41,49 lvls 50 - 52

Easy to pull but don't hit a stupid owl by accident! Also remember to open the crate get the bottles out. Loot the ooze then select it again and right click on the appropriate bottle to fill. Pretty easy for me at 50.

You get a crate in your inventory containing the two sets of containers.

Kill 6 of the two different kinds of Oozes Ttainted and Cursed) located in the middle of Felwood around the acidic pools. Then target their dead "bodies" and right click the vile to fill.

Did this solo at lvl 48 with my warrior, stick to the lowest lvl mobs you find :P Was a bit hard hehe.

1. Open the box you get from the questgiver.
2. Kill Cursed Ooze(40,66) or Tainted Ooze (40,46). (Felwood)
3. Use the empty vials on the corpse of the Ooze.

Gives 9150 Exp in 2.3
