The Blackwood Corrupted

Fill the Empty Cleansing Bowl at the Auberdine Moonwell.

Gather a sample of fruit, nut, and grain from the northern Blackwood furbolg camps.

Mix the bowl and place it near the bonfire closest to the Cliffspring River at the northern camp, thus summoning the satyr corruptor.

Take the Talisman of Corruption and bring it to Thundris Windweaver in Auberdine.
Talisman of Corruption
Provided Item:
Empty Cleansing Bowl

Description

We've learned that a source of furbolg corruption is from the satyr. They hold sway via talismans that they channel magic through. If the furbolg have a chance at salvation, we must lure out the satyr corruptor and take that talisman!

Fill this bowl at our moonwell and take samples of the furbolgs' food from their northern camp. Mix them and place it near the bonfire by the river; any furbolgs who eat will be cleansed just long enough to lure out the satyr corruptor... who then you must slay!

The items can be found:
Grain: 50, 35
Fruit: 52, 33
Nuts: 51, 33

Once you have all of the items, right-click on the cleansing bowl and you'll see ALL of the Furbies run at you, but don't worry they won't attack you. I solo'd this as a 17 druid.

What you're looking for is in the containers that look like large, over-turned barrels or drums. Once you've collected all three, you have to "use" the items beside the bonfire in the center of the camp. You can't do this while in combat, but once you DO, don't worry about the furbolgs, as they'll become pacified and not attack you (at least for a while). After about five seconds, Xabraxxis will appear and begin attacking you. Kill him and take the talisman you loot from his "demon bag" back to Thundris.

Nuts - 51,33
Grain - 50,35
Fruit - 52,33
Once you have all, go to the fire at 52,33 and click on the bowl with water. Furbolgs will come but will not attack. Then the satyr will appear; once you kill it, his bag will drop down; click on it and you'll get the talisman :)

Two things:

Don't forget to fill the bowl at the moonwell in Auberdine before collecting the various items of food.

Collecting the food has a chance of spawning & aggroing a furlbog or two, so be wary.

Happy hunting.

I just soloed this quest with my 19 rouge NE.. the first camp for the grains is just a little sout along the mountains from the river and the other camp is just next to the river for the fruits an nuts. After collecting the grains an fruits i placed it by the bonfire of the northern camp an when the guy appeared i pulled him to the log on the river up near the waterfall. never had any other mobs attack me and by the time i killed him they were all still green. Who ever says you need a team mate there full of it or just have no skills being i am a rookie and completely new to the game. later hope this helps people. Also for mixing the regents in the bowl u simply walk to the bonfire an right click the bowl.. It will mix all regents an set the food simply by right clicking the bowl near the fire ..

But NO SATYR SHOWED UP.&nbsp so i had to redo the frekin quest.&nbsp Walked aaallllll the way to auberdine and back again, redid the quest, and of course, i find out i forgot to fill the GD bowl at the GD moonwell again!&nbsp god! why!

After reading other comments I went in alone as a lvl 19 hunter with my lvl 19 pet nightsabre.&nbsp We went from the road along the river's north shore and crossed a fallen tree to get at the camps.&nbsp We pulled out blackwoods one by one from the rear of each camp until we could get each of the 3 items.&nbsp Did get killed on first try but then just took out as many as possible as quickly as possible to get prizes.&nbsp Then went back to correct camp, where all had respawned, and took out more until we could get next to bonfire.&nbsp Quickly activated items which drew out satyr who was easy to kill.&nbsp All the blackwoods respawned and circled bonfire but left us alone.&nbsp We didn't waste time looting everything and tried to run out fast, but EVERYTHING respawned within about 5 seconds of getting talisman, and they first killed my pet then got me.&nbsp I resurrected and shadowmelded, then snuck away, revived pet and was still able to loot a few corpses.&nbsp While doing quest I hit lvl 20.&nbsp It can be done but is probably best accomplished with either a partner or a pet that you know how to use.&nbsp Good luck!

The items are in what looks like giant kegs. Be sure to clear out several of the furbolgs beside the keg and possibly at the tents as well. I had 2 furbolgs spawn on me when I retrieved the grain, but none spawned when I retrieved the fruit and nuts. Also, if someone else kills the satyr, and then loots the talisman, You can go ahead and loot the talisman as well without having to put the fruit down which is what I did. Just a little helpful advice!

I did this pretty easily as a 20 Priest. I just Mind Soothed the furbolgs guarding each food store, grabbed the food, and ran as the add spawned. To place to food next to the bonfire, I just Mind Soothed everyone nearby and ran as everyone rushed to the bowl. Then the satyr spawned and it was a quick, easy 1-on-1 battle.

My advice to anyone is to go to the right of the camp. (near the mountain range) Attack the bears on that side one by one. Then when you get close to the bonfire make sure there's only one bear guarding it (there's three around it) Because the totum looking thing will make him attack you. You want the least amount of bears around you while you mix the bowl near the bonfire. After this, mix the bowl. (no distractions around you really...) Then all the bears will circle the bonfire and turn good. The guy you need to kill will come out and attack you. If you are a rogue like me, I suggest you use evasion. It helps a bit. For all others, I think if you're a 18 you can deffinitely do it. Also, make sure you get the talisman of corruption. It's in a brown wicker looking basket around the guy. Good luck. ]

It's a fairly hard quest, I died twice doing it. Most of the time it was because I was pulling and then was attacked by 3 or 4 of the level 14 Bears.

Just pull all the ones near the materials away. gather those, then pull and kill as many in the camp as you can, run in, right click the bowl and then run.

Wait until all the things swarm the bowl, then a red devil looking guy shows up (level 19) yelling about cleansing camps, pull him, kill him, loot his body.

THE TALISMAN IS IN A CRATE NEXT TO HIS BODY, IT ISN'T ON HIS BODY.

Goodluck,

...this is a long arduous quest, and although my lvl 18 priest was quite capable, it is way too easy to screw it up at the end and have to start all over...annoying in the extreme. IMHO the quest is more trouble than its worth.

this quest is quite simple when u have the grain, nuts and fruit, u go to the bonfire in the north camp (the camp where u get the nuts and fruit from) right click the bowl near the bonfire and ur charecter will be mixing the stuff and he will lay it down onto the floor and all the furblogs run 2 it and start eating it, meanwhile there is a satyr next to the bonfire, kill him then there is a box next to him open the box and u have the talisman.

I just finished this quest and ran off to the Mushroom cave to, um, collect some mushrooms. As I'm running around, killing fishy people, I notice some Furbolgs following me around. Instantly I'm like, "oh $%^&, they followed me, and I get ready to fight the four of them off (I'm a Priest so this is NOT my specialty). A moment's pause saved me, though, as I realized they were all greens, and therefore friendly.

They followed me from the camp. Weird, huh?

i found this quest funny as heck, when you put the items in the fire the all run to get at it, both me and my party member found this quite humorus. anyway the talisman was indeed in a basket type thing next to his dead body, or it was for me anyway. i was a lvl 18 or 19 rogue and my partner was a lvl 15 or16 hunter it was easy enough but be sure to kill the things around the barrels because they attack when they see you messing with it.

The ingredients:
Moonwell 37,44
Grain 50,34
Nuts 51,33
Fruit 52,33

After getting the samples, create the bowl you filled at the moonwell in Auberdine while you are standing somewhere in the middle of the camp.
Next the beast will turn green/friendly and Xabrassis will show up (lvl 19). Kill him and box shows up. Open that box to finish the quest.

I just tried this as a level 16 priest, and got a royal spanking because I overlooked where the person said it summons a level 19. (Although, I guess I should've been tipped off by the fact that it took me nearly half an hour to clear out enough of the fubolgs to get to the bonfire...)

So.... yeah. Just be aware that the furbolgs are 17 and 18, and the satyr is 19. :x

This was an easy enough quest for me (lvl 18 rogue) but the furbolgs(sp?) weren't pacified, and some hunter tagged my satyr before i could get to him, thereby i killed him, but lost the quest... now i have to start all over... bah... curious as to why the furbolgs didn't pacify?
