Description

Your next task is as simple as your first, but will require you to seek out aid.

I require gold thread for the embroidery of the cloak, but gold thread is not easy to come by, and very few know how to make it. Fortunately, one who is loyal to our cause knows its secrets and is willing to help those rising in our ranks.

Bring a gold bar to Xizk Goodstitch in Booty Bay. He is a master tailor and will be happy to spin the thread for you. Gold bars are smelted by skilled miners. Ask a miner for help.

This part of the chain, instead of turning in the gold bar to Menara Voidrender in Ratchet, you will have to travel to Booty Bay instead and give the gold bar to Xizk Goodstitch.

To clarify, to get the Fine Gold Thread, you go back to the tailor 'Xizk Goodstitch' in Booty Bay, he will have a BLUE question mark above his head, click him and you will be able to recieve the fine gold thread.

you can buy the gold bar at the auction house if you're too bored to go farming and don't have a miner friend.than just go to booty bay,tha guy is at the tailor shop on the top level of the city.

You do not get the gold thread yet.
After you hand in the Gold bar you need to do a few more steps in the quest chain, then you will be sent back to BB to get the thread.

Buy this off the AH it is well worth the 70-85 Silver you will probably pay for it in time saved or effort searching for someone to make it. Not worth 1g on any server unless you get a stack of them.

I've got the gold bar and have attempted to turn it into xizk, however he never has a blue/gold question mark and proceeds to kick my ass when i attempt to click/give it to him. WTF! i've also dropped the quest and picked it back up again, thinking maybe it was a bug. No luck.
