Travel east of Auberdine and look for a large, red crystal along Darkshore's eastern mountain range. Report back what you find to Sentinel Glynda Nal'Shea in Auberdine.

Description

Hostile moonkin roam in ever increasing numbers to our east. They once were thought to be gentle, almost mystical creatures. While some continue to hold reverence for them, the safety of Auberdine forces me to keep a more realistic view.

I've received reports that moonkin are being drawn to a large red crystal along Darkshore's eastern mountain range. No one has any idea what that crystal is, or even if it really exists. I want you to locate it over there and report back to me what you find.

The red crystal is due east of Auberdine, along the eastern mountain border at 47,48. You may see a large number of Raging Moonkin near it.

If you use the in-game map, this crystal is up on a hill that is due east of the lower leg of the letter "E" in Auberdine.

Approach from the north side so you can get up the hill.

The raging moonkin seemed to be chained together (or have a large aggro range). You might get one or two extras, when you try and pull one individually. Otherwise, you can just run by it to complete.

Pretty easy quest. Located 47, 48. Becareful when fighting the raging Moonkin though. Their attack power shoots up when they become enraged. As for the four that you see by the crystal; they wander away from it so all I did was Shadowmeld until they had left then ran off. Other races may have a bit more trouble though.

yep go straight east from the "E" on auberdinE (and a little south)and u will see it on a cliff near a congrigation of moonkin - HAVE FUN!

I hearthed away from the red crystal without failing the quest. I do not know about dying - the mobs are relatively easy to pull, but as I did this at a low level the regen was somewhat time consuming (hence the hearthstone).

Quest: The Red Crystal
OK, the lady who gives you this quest is in Auberdine and she standes by the bridge as you come out of the inn.
To find The Red Crystal, run along the montain range east of Auberdine.
Quest: As Water Cascades
The moonwell is right by the lady who gives you this quest. Step into the water, right click on the tube she gives you.
Go back to the Red Crystal, mouse over it. It will say "Mysterious Red Crystal" with a little gold gear thingy. NOTHING IS GOING TO JUMP AT YOU, unfourtanetly the quest implies this.

Run back, choose quest reward, and you are done!

The red crystal is a the top of the mountain, second peak/bump from the south. The south is one of the best ways to approach it, it looks unclimbable from the north (going south). The area have these special white critters, about 6 to 8 of them. You can pull most of them off, but there will be at least one contest of 2 of them vs you and yours, so make sure you can handle that. Lvl about 12, but very sturdy.

Interestingly, the red crystal in this quest seems to be the same type of crystal in Stillpine Hold, which the game says is a broken off piece of The Exodar.

The actual cords are 47,48 in Darkshore on the mountain. Bunch of Moonkin around the base of it.

Finding the crystal was a pain. Got to the Moonkin camp but for some reason, headed the opposite way. Didn't work so headed back. Walked out a bit from the hills near the moonkin camp and saw the crystal. Pulled and killed what I had to than did a wide walk to get to it without killing more than I had to.

Its just on the mountain range 47,49 just above the moonkins you just walk up to it and its complete easiest 6s you'll ever get.

Easiest way to find the red crystal is locate the moonkin camp....the crystal is directly behind it on the mountain side.Ta daa! quest complete.

The red crystal is almost straight east from Auberdine. It is surrounded by several raging moonkin, levels 13-14. These guys have a small aggro range but a HUGE assist range, so be prepared for adds. After one corpse run, I did manage to slip through their pathing using shadowmeld (NE Druid) and avoid a big fight.

Please, please, please,

Somebody give me a link too a coordinate mod that works. Ive been too so many, and its either been an error too stop the download, or some complicated zip function that must be done too get it too work.

So just any straightforward X,Y coordinate mod, ive heared they make quests far easier. Any help is appreciated.
