'The Note' drops in raids AND in normal partys. I've seen it drop in both.

Horde players have a counterpart quest with identical rewards.

This is a group drop. Everyone gets one, just like Van Cleef's unopened letter. You can only do the quest once, obviously.

Read above all is explained.

The quest starts when you pick up an item that looks like a letter titled "General Drakkisath's Command" which you then read to start the quest!

That original quest off the item will send you to Marshall Maxwell, who will then give you the quest "General Drakkisath's Demise" !

A boss in LBRS named Wyrmkin drops the letter which is lootable in a raid group (just did it last night with 8) then you read the letter which says your instinct tells you to talk to some guy in burning steppes i believe which gives you the next quest which is to kill General Drakkisath which is the UBRS main boss...then return the the guy in burning steppes.&nbsp ITS NOT THAT HARD...YOU SHOULD KNOW HOW TO DO THESE TYPES OF QUESTS IF YOU ARE HIGH ENOUGH LEVEL TO EVEN GET IT.

So here are some facts:

Yes, the letter drops in LBRS from
last boss (also known as wyrmkin boss)
IN RAID.

The next part (after u leave in the letter @ burning steppes) is to go to UBRS and kill
the boss that the quest requires, leave it in, choose ur reward, the end.

I posted the topic about the Q not completing earlier.
Contacting a GM didnt result in anything.

I simply did the Q again (again in a 15man raid) and this time the objective did get completed.

None of the circumstances changed, so it all remains a mystery.. oh well...

The one he is on about that you attack outside UBRS from the Quartermaster is the Pre-quest to BWL, the only way to get the EoB//BHB//MoT quest is by killing&nbsp final boss in LBRS

Completed the quest in a 15man raid.
Very annoyingly, the quest objective remained incomplete (0/1) even though i was dancing on drakki's corpse. No eye of the beast yet!

I read this topic and 1 other person posted this problem too. No replies on it yet though.

Anyone know more about this problem? Any suggestions are welcome&nbsp

I and one of my raid member got same problem, killed general but cannot compelete the quest goal.

I killed Drakk in a 15 man last night and it did not complete quests.&nbsp After 2 other posts with the same problem it seems that the quest is now bugged after 1.9.&nbsp I did get Deflector and Valor chect from him so it was not a complete loss.

Don't know if it has been said in these posts yet But Reward is Changed to 8g 67 Silver !
Instead of 2g something it was .(apart from items ofc)
It may not seem much but it definately is good start !

laope...are you sure you can get this quest from outside UBRS? I think that is a different quest.

Just did it today in a 9-man RAID this note dropped it is irrelevant whether you're in a group or a raid it's a drop not a Quest.

I agree. It doesn't make sense.

I notice paladin can't use the eye of the beast.

This Starts in LBRS with the last bosses death drop (easy kill in a 7+ and semi easy in a 5 man, no pre quest) BUT only 1 letter drops so be ready to either CALL FOR A ROLL OR NINJA IT.

2nd Go see the Marshal in the Burning Steps camp

The 3rd (last) part is a lot tougher (I would suggest a 15 man with 2 MT�s so they can split the agro and get healed) BUT its really not that hard even in a PUG, just keep the levels at 59+ and get the proper classes.&nbsp

dont forget that those posts saying ubrs 5 man would be almost imposible were pre patch 1.10 and the 3 man run was post 1.10 when ubrs was reduced to childs play....

i've seen it mentioned both ways in the previous posts, so i'll ask one final time to try and make it clear.

does the letter drop off of Wyrmthlak ONLY in a raid? or will it still drop 5-man?

This place is perfect for 3 rouges and 2 druids, or 3 druids and 2 rouges.&nbsp We had 1 feral druid tank (me), one resto druid heal, and the others dps.&nbsp We stealthed in to the every boss and passed all trash undetected.&nbsp It was so easy.&nbsp I hated the fact I chose my druid over my mage because I could aoe grind for exp and farm for awesome loot on lowbies, but now I am completely satisfied because I can group up with 4 others and stealth to bosses over and over again.&nbsp

When you stealth in make sure not to kill last boss if you dont want a high repair bill as he will call the trash you didn't clear as he is low on health.&nbsp You should still be able to beat him and loot before you die but it is almost guaranteed you will wipe.&nbsp But this is also a great way to skip the time to get the quest item that drops for Mark or Tyranny.&nbsp If you just want a ton of gold, just leave the last boss alone, reset the instance, and keep stealthing and killing bosses and resetting until you are rich. Enjoy!

Oh and by the way Mark of Tyranny is the best Trinket in the whole game for any druid.&nbsp Combine with Ring of Protection, Ring of Vek'lor, and Smoking Heart of the Mountain and you will get 2668 armor (2935 armor for feral druids) in Dire Bear form!

but what happens when u done with this instance huh? think about that... for exaple im rogue and got key to URBS i seen no point doing LBRS anymore.... get my point?

also u cannot stealth run strath :P and i hear blizzard making the BC dungeons unsteathable. mobs that can detect stealth

At lvl 59 this quest gave me 10900 exp

I killed Drakka and used orb.

just wondering can u do the quest twice? im a rogue and i wouldnt mind both the mark and the blackhand. anyone able confirm weather the quest can b repeated?

If you want Mark of Tyranny just for the 1% dodge, there's another trinket very easy to obtain called Smotts' Compass (Item #4130) which also has 1% dodge. While it doesn't have the armor or resist bonus, its a good alternative if you have trouble deciding between 1% dodge or 2% crit. Another way to look at it is having both 1% dodge + 2% crit OR 2% dodge.

The note dropped off Overlord Wyrmthalak in LBRS for me. I assume he is the only one who drops it.

Can this quest be completed in raid? Or do you have to 5man UBRS for it to count?

That's kinda weird, because the other 2 rewards don't have the 'Classes: <...>' requirement.

Anyway I just got the quest from LBRS boss (Overlord Wyrmthalak) and gonna get the Blackhands Breath tomorrow =) Imba combined with Darkmoon Card: Maelstorm.

And no, the quest is not repeat-able.
Would be nice to have the Mark aswell for my tanking gear.

... killing the boss in the lower part of blackrock spire, he drops a note on him that starts the quest which sends you to Marshal Maxwell who then gives you the quest to kill Generall Drakkisath.

How do you obtain this quest?

Assuming you have to kill someone in BRS or something like the crumpled note that drops after?
