Avast! Who goes there?

Argh, I am but useless without me special enchanted eye. Bad enough to have lost me eyes in battle in the first place! But by some stroke o' luck we docked in Menethil and a traveling wizard enchanted a special glass eye that let me see again.

Last night I ended up gettin' jumped by some Bloodsail Buccaneers on me way out. Took me eye, they did! Seems those blokes have found their way to Booty Bay.

Help an old sea dog out by gettin' me eye back?

(Phase 3 edit) You can receive the eye from any Bloodsail NPC, the drop rate has been decreased so it may take you longer than it had in Phase 2.

I killed many of the Bloodsails before getting the drop, but I combined it with Up to Snuff, and I got the eye before I got all the snuff.

I got 2550 XP at level 39.

um... hate to point out the obvious it looks like this is a RANDOM drop of all bloodsails... and it seems to have a pretty bad drop % soe ppl find it first some have to kill 50+ to get it...

keep at it youll get it eventualy...

(note the oger staff quest in TM is even worse i killed like 160+ of these b4 i looted it... gained 2 lvls tho...

Brutus does drop this. He dropped it on the first kill after I had killed about 40-50 regular bloodsail's.
So try your luck on him might be worth it.

Brutus: 33.88.
He can be found on the single ship.

Just kill the easiest ones outside of BB, like the raiders. There's an equal chance it will drop off of any of them, so you might as well just kill the easy ones.

Something I've found is that sometimes the game gets into a rut of some sort with quest drops.

Where you go through streaks where it simply refuses to drop far beyond a reasonable number of kills.&nbsp If this happens, try abandoning the quest and picking it up again.

I just tried this quest and killed about 30 or 40 mobs before abandoning the quest.&nbsp I picked it up again and the eye dropped on the first kill.

You do NOT have to be friendly with Booty Bay or anything like that.&nbsp Just get the first Bloodsail Buccaneers quest to explore the cove from First Mate Crazz (goblin), then complete it by locating the map, accept the quest from the map and return to Crazz.&nbsp Once you do that, the quest will be unlocked for you at level 37.&nbsp (If that doesn't work, then just complete the next step in the Bloodsail quests by talking to the fleet master).

For anyone who doesn't know this. You can't just walk in to BB and get the quest at level 37. First you have to do the quest the First Mate gives you on the lower dock, turn that in and talk to the captain. After you do this you are then able to recieve Dizzy's quest.

I didn't know this because I usually start BB quests long before then, but I hadn't done any yet on my current character. So if you are going to snag the cloak from Dizzy make sure you do the First Mate's quest first.

At 27,70 - It took me 5 kills to get the eye. I got the drop off a mage, and also did the "pretty boy duncan" quest at the same time :)

I too combined my eye search with my snuff search. After about 20 or so kills, I got the eye from one of the female warlocks on the small island between the two pirate ships.

Is it just me or do others think the swashbucklers look like Triple H? :)

I did this one at the same time as "Up to Snuff" and the second to last Bloodsail Buccaneers quest (the one with the two sets of documents you have to find). It dropped off the third mob (a warlock) I killed going down the beach (sixth mob total, as I had killed two Raiders and one Mage "in the green" on the way to the beach).

The cloak is long and looks nice (black, or at least dark gray, with gold trim) and has stats similar to the Yeti Fur Cloak, I believe. I put it in the bank for now since I am wearing an INT cape right now for the extra mana.

(Phase 3 note) The droprate is pretty low for this now. Seems to take about fifty kills to get the ete, give or take a few.

I suggest that, while you're at it, you pick up all the other bloodsail quests like The Bloodsail Buccaneers, Up to Snuff, "Pretty Boy" Duncan*, etc so you can do them all at the same time while you're busy killing Bloodsail mobs. It'll take painfully long otherwise.
The aforementioned are all Booty Bay quests.

*Note: This is towards the end of the chain of quests you can recieve from Baron Revilgaz. The first quest in the chain is "The Stone of the Tides."
