The Bloodsail Buccaneers

First Mate Crazz wants you to check the cove north of Booty Bay.

Description

You sure seem eager to work, matey. Not sure why some land-loving <race> <class> is offering help to the Blackwater Raiders, but I'm not going to turn you away.

Our ship just docked here in Booty Bay and word has it that our rivals--those damned, dirty Bloodsail Buccaneers--have been spotted all over southern Stranglethorn.

All the boys are too busy hitting the grog and looking for ladies! What I need is a scout.

Check the cove just north of Booty Bay along the Savage Coast and see what you find.

It's up near 27,69 or if you go right outside the entrance/exit to Booty Bay from Stranglethorn Vale, take a left, and go down, you will see some Buccaneers. You actually have to go over to their little pile of boxes and barrels. There will be a little piece of paper ontop of one of the barrels, read it and complete the quest!

As is stated in a couple of other posts in this thread, the paper is NOT in the boat. There is a camp before the boat, and the paper is on top of one of the barrels to the right as you face away from the (paper-less) boat.

In case you don't know, the coordinates are 27,69.

Just walk out of the mouth of booty bay, turn left, and walk straight down until you see some boxes and a small rowboat in the water. Click on a small opened scroll on top of a pile of boxes.

Did this as a 40 fire mage and didn't even come close to dying.

Next to Pretty Boy. There is a barrel with a scroll on it, you need to engage that scroll to finish the quest.

If you are a Rogue you can just stealth in, complete the quest, grab the next one, and then pop vanish

The documents are guarded by a named NPC (Pretty Boy Duncan or something like that) and 2 mages (lvl 40 I think). I (38 NE Druid) went up on the beach to the south and took out one of the mages. The other two didn't seem to notice.

Threw the roots on the other mage and went for the document as Duncan (lvl 39) atacked me. The mage also attacked with fireballs. Lots of fun. I managed to get the document open - it's a quest form gives you the XP and another quest, which you can accept or decline as usual. I managed to accept (didn't have time to read it) and expected to die right there but got lucky and whacked Duncan to the point where he ran off just as the second mage arrived.

Just managed to knock her off as Duncan returned but by then I was ready & he was about done anyway. There was a 3rd mage further up the beach but she didn't get aggroed. I was lucky. I think you would usually need 2 people to get this done.

It's up at 27,69 just left from the entrance/exit to Booty Bay. There's a few barrels and then there's a scroll on top of 'em, by Pretty Boy Duncan. Just read it. Then get the heck outta there! I did it as a 37 Druid. (alliance) I went cat form, prowled, read it, (which took me outta prowl,) completed it,
accepted it, (It helps if you have the auto quest thing that makes it all appear automatically so you don't have to wait) then died, but then turned it in. Pretty easy.

dive off the pier in booty bay...swim North to the first beach head you come to. you will see a pile of barrels. when you mouse-over one stack your cursotr will turn into the gear...get closer and boom yer in. I was able to charge tyeh mages and shield bash em into submission so I had non troubles. This mission is MADE for rogues though...for gods sake stealth in and stealth out...good luck

this quest is actually pretty tough. first:

when going out of booty bay tot the north, turn left when youre outside the cave. Then go to the coast, where there is a small camp of bloodsail mobs. The thing is its pretty hard cuz some mobs are standing close to eachother, once you attack one, you have a big chance of gettin aggro. i did it as a druid lvl 39, i could heal so it wasnt really impossible.

When I looked at this quest I totaly misread it and thought it said "cave" instead of "cove". DOH! Anyways, the coordinates are 27,69. Right there next to Pretty Boy, theres a piece of paper on top of a barrel.

I have to admit, I'm proud of myself.

Being a hunter, I used "Eyes of the Beast" to aggro the pirates and draw them away from the parchement.&nbsp Then while my pet kept them aggro'd, I walked over and read the paper, completed the quest and took the next one.&nbsp If you don't tarry, you can get away before your pet dies.

Did this as a 38 rogue.

Just kill them...

Much easier than trying to figure out some strat to get the stuff without killing anything.&nbsp You have a whole group of mobs in one area.. Exp heaven since they spawn pretty quickly too.

Anyway.. just sap whomever you don't want attacking right away and take them out 1 or two at a time taking out the mages first.&nbsp I think I took a max of 1/4 damage in any given fight.

If it gets too hairy, don't forget evasion.. if you have mage adds involved.. just vanish and regroup.

It's at 27,69

Very easy to do with a lvl 42 hunter.
Just make sure u pull them good.

Or just let your pet pull them all and get the crate.

I just did this quest about 5 minutes ago.
Exit the tunnel coming out of Booty Bay and take the path down to the left. You'll see a small camp on the shoreline with several Buccaneers and Mages. (This is the same place you retrieve the knife from in Caitlin's Dagger)
On the left side of the camp is a pile of boxes next to the water and the small boat. Sometimes you find the map in the boat, but I just found it on the top of a barrel next to the boat.

All i can say about the way this quest is worded... land-loving DRUID? hehe I'm more at home in the sea than he'll ever hope to be.

(Yes, I am aware it's a "form letter" - I just found it amusing)

41 warrior, dove off the dock, went behind the camp in the water, made sure no patrols were near, pulled duncan into the water with my gun, killed him, then completed the quest, at this time 2 mages started fireballing me, got the next quest, ran like heck into the water, got away, piece of cake.

37 Druid. The quest took about 1 minute from leaving Booty Bay.

Swam up to the camp N of booty bay as a seal. Landed and changed into cat near the boat, and then prowled up to the crate where I saw the paper. As I clicked it, I unstealthed and all of the bloodsails attacked me.

I ran back to the water, turned back into seal, and swam away. I had to shapeshift once to escape a net, and they dazed me a few times, but I escaped back to booty bay with about 1/3 health remaining.

At the exit of BB, turn to your immediate right. You will get to a camp where there are Bloodsail Raiders and Bloodsail Mages. Once you hit that camp, there are barrels, you must look for a paper on a barrel and click on it. I found mine on a barrel near that boat on shore.

Good luck!

Found the paper and clicked on it, said the quest was completed, however, First Mate Crazz will not speak further about the quest... was there something else I was supposed to bring, or just clicking the paper?

You have to click the paper twice, once to complete the first quest and again to start the next one.
