Stormwind Rendezvous

Travel to Stormwind City and venture to the city gates. Speak with Squire Rowe so that he may let Marshal Windsor know that you have arrived.

Description

You are to meet with Windsor at the gates of Stormwind.

What Windsor is about to unveil will shake the very foundation of the kingdom!

Do not attempt to venture there alone, <name>. You must amass an army! Gather your compatriots. To arms!

If someone else is doing the Windsor quest that Squire Rowe starts, you'll get the following text from Rowe:

"Marshal Windsor has been expecting you, <name>. Unfortunately, he is currently indisposed. He should be returning shortly."

The wait time while Windsor's being escorted by another player to Stormwind Keep is approximately 10 minutes.

BTW, you don't need a raid for this quest, as the quest text would lead you to believe. Just escort Windsor to Stormwind Keep, where he will call upon Lady Prestor, turning her into her true form, Onyxia. This spawns eight dragonkin guards. You don't need to bother with them -- Highlord Bolivar Fodragon, a level ?? boss, can easily take them all out himself. You need to just stand there and watch. Windsor will die, then Bolivar will give you a new quest -- "The Dragon's Eye" -- for which you'll need to find the dragon Emberseer in Dustwallow Marsh. And that's all there is to it.

They have changed the quest slightly you need to talk to Squire Rowe at the Stormwind Gate or Marshal Windsor will not show up.

A pre to this quest is: Jail Break! (Elite)

(Quest #4322) ride out of the gates of Stormwind and Reginald Windsor will spawn you follow him all the way to the king and stand on outside walls and let Highlord Bolvar do all the work and after your done watching the quest is complete.

Completeing this quest leads to the quest called: The Dragon's Eye

do you have to do some special event for him to spawn?
or do you HAVE to be in a raid group or smth..?

i've been standing at the gates for several minutes yet no sights of Marshal Windsor. also ive meet a couple of ppl having the same problem :S.

are we doing something wrong here T___T

i havent tried this, but my guess is that you could abandon the quest and talk to marshall maxwell at morgan's vigil to get the quest again. tedious, yes, but hey, you're the one that failed )

This quest is bugged, When we got there the queen turned into onyxia after talking with windsor and then all the talking stopped... we waited for 5 min and then it said quest failed... so I abandoned and tried to restart by looking for him outside gates... he is no where to be found. MAJOR BLIZZARD BUGG! I NEED onyxia key... anyone else run into this?

You dont need a raid group for this at all, you dont even need a 5-man. Just activate it, let Onyxia tranform, then run like hell into a room. The guards can solo all of them.

To keep the quest from bugging you must make shure all 3 NPC's are spawned in Stormwind keep and I think the guy outside needs to be spawned too. If any of these NPC's are dead (due to raids or failed quest) then the quest will bug when you talk to lady prestor.

I just failed this quest *sigh* and what's worse i abandoned it. I went to morgan's vigil and talked to maxwell and he doesnt have the quest, so.... I guess i have to do Jailbreak in BRD all over again. *big sigh*

IF U EVER FAIL THE QUEST DONT ABANDON IT!

Actully i abandoned the quest, then sat at the gates again and he showed up again, it let me redo the quest. But alas, i still fail the quest. whats going on here?

if you fail this quest one time, no worry. You'll just need to wait for the Lady Prestor to respawn, once she does the Quest gets "reset". Head for the gates again and wait for Windsor to appear, it'll take some time depending on how long it was since Lady Prestor had respawned. My party waited somewhere between 4-8minutes after the lady (she's really the onyxia) respawned until the Windsor-guy reappeared on his horse at the gates of stormwind.

I am had the same problem as alot of you here. We guided windsor into the keep. When he got there nothin happaned at all(the queen didnt even turn into onyxia), we stood and waited there for like 8-10min then it said we failed. Blizzard should rly look into this bug.

For those saying they can't get him to spawn, make sure you talk to Squire Rowe at the gates! Windsor won't be there waiting for you, you have to talk to Rowe, who will call for Windsor. Rowe will walk to the edge of the gates and kneel, and return to the spot he was standing when you found him. Wait about 15-20 seconds and Windsor will ride up on his horse.
