Warsong Supplies

Collect the Warsong Supplies: Warsong Saw Blades, Logging Rope, Warsong Oil, and the Warsong Axe Shipment for Locke Okarr in Splintertree Post.
Warsong Saw Blades
Warsong Axe Shipment
Warsong Oil
Logging Rope

Description

We are in short supply of a few items at the Warsong lumber camp!

Pixel at Splintertree Post has our shipment of saw blades. It'll take a trip to Booty Bay to pick up a crate of axes from Wharfmaster Lozgil.

Our shipment of oil and rope will be more difficult. The rope was pilfered by the Thistlefur and Foulweald furbolgs, and the satyrs intercepted the delivery of the oil and are now using it for detestable rituals in Night Run, Satyrnaar, and Xavian!

Can you help me?

Warsong Saw Blades Get a Deadly Blunderbuss - https://classicdb.ch/?item=4369 - buy one off the AH or craft it, doesn't matter. Give it to Pixel (She's next to the Flight Path in Splitertree Post) and you'll get your shipment.

Warsong Axe Shipment Head to Ratchet, grab the boat to Booty Bay, find Wharfmaster Lozgil and the box right next to him holds the shipment.

Warsong Oil In the Satyr Camp at Night Run (smallish green bottle) (66, 55).

Logging Rope Can get it from either the Foulweald Furbolg Tribe at Greenpaw Village (55, 61) or the Thistlefur Furbolgs at Thistlefur Village (36, 35). As far as I am aware all of them drop it.

2)Go back to ogr, spam every few seconds for a engineer's services, ask em to make you the deadly blunderbus (shouldnt pay more than 20S the mats are a few light leather and some copper)
3)Go to Zoram strand if you havent done all the quests and do the quest that has you kill furlbogs and bring back a flag(you will need a group for that particular quest unless you are 30+) one of them there critters oughtta drop the rope you need.
4)Go to night run and kill the satyrn's for the horns and at the end your oil.
5) Go back to pixel in splintertree and get your blades for the gun
6)turn in the quest
7)ask yourself why you cant follow quest instructions the first time

1. Warsong Saw Blades: Travelled to Rachet, and took the ship to Booty Bay. Find Wharfmaster Lozgil and near him, there is some boxes. Open them.

2. Warsong Axe Shipment: Travelled to Orgrimmar, where I bought the gun for 95 silver.

3. Warsong Oil: Found the Warsong Oil in a large flask in the heart of the satyr camp at Night Run (66,55).

4. The Logging Rope is dropped by the Foulweald in Greenpaw Village (54,62).

Hope you guys can find the parts, took me hours:)

The Warsong Oil ( https://classicdb.ch/?item=16744 ) can be found at any of the three Satyr camps in Ashenvale Forest. Though it's important to note that the oil isn't on the Satyrs themselves, but in small jars near their camps.

Each of the three camps has different types of Satyrs associated with them. And each of these groups of Satyrs has a special debuff.

Night Run
These Satyrs are levels 25 - 27.
They regularly cast the spell Overwhelming Stench ( https://classicdb.ch/?spell=6942 ) which silences the target for 5 seconds.

Satyrnaar
These Satyrs range from levels 26 - 28.
They curse you with the spell Curse of the Bleakheart ( https://classicdb.ch/?spell=6946 ) which has the chance to afflict you with Chest Pains ( https://classicdb.ch/?spell=6945 ), stunning you for 5 seconds.

Xavian
These Satyrs constist of levels 28 - 30.
They have the ability to cast a full-heal spell, Gift of the Xavian ( https://classicdb.ch/?spell=6925 ), when they are low on health.

I was 24lvl hunter, when done it (with a little help of 44lvl shaman)(Argent Down RP EU Realm). The quest is really easy to do and a very tasty.

1) Warsong Saw Blades - there is a goblin woman near Splintertree Post Windrider, with a name Pixel. She gives you a quest Warsong Saw Blades
(Quest #6581) that quest you will need Deadly Blunderbuss
(Item #4369) can be either made by engineers, or can be bought at Auction House (buyout 40-60 silver coins)
And, the reward for this rifle will be your first piece of supplies.

2) Warsong Axe Shipment:
Travel to Ratchet, than take boat to Booty Bay. When you get off the ship you will surely notice crates to the left. One of them can be opened (it is behind the first line of boxes) , Shipment inside.

3) Logging Rope:
Travel to Zoram'gar outpost in Ashenvale, if you decided to get this item after you get the Axe Shipment, otherwise, if you are in Splintertree Post, travel to Thistlefur Village. It's near the Ally town Astranaar. Thistlefur Shamans
(NPC #3924) the rope with 100.00% (me and my friends got it from the first mob)
By the way, to be pragmatic, take the Quest: Between a Rock and a Thistlefur
(Quest #216)
also in Zoram'gar Outpost, it can be done easily and solo, because mobs are 23-24.

4) Warsong Oil:
Ok, here is the hard part. That goblin, Pixel, which gave us Saw Blades, also gives Quest: Satyr Horns
(Quest #6441) so you may take it not to go there twice. But those Satyrs are 26-28. Still there are always somebody questing/grinding there so probably you will find party and won't disturb your high-lvl friends to help you.
Oil can be found in a yellow (or green =)) ) vase. I found 4-5 of them iin Satynaar, so it won't be a trouble to get it, if you handle hidden Satyrs near it :)

Ok, everything is done, its time to celebrate :)

Lotsa running around for this quest, so it's not really worth it, especially if you're just going to sell the reward item to a NPC vendor.

Pixel won't give you the blades until you get her a deadly blunderbuss (auction house).
You have to sail to booty bay to pick up the crate. The boat leaves from Ratchet.

The oil was pretty easy, just get it during downtime while you do the satyr horns quest. The oil jugs seem to spawn quite frequently.

I got the logging rig from one of the very first thistlefurs that I killed.

So nothing difficult or risky, just a lot of time running, flying, and boating around. I'm unsure if I even came out ahead on this after you figure in the cost for the gun and the windriders.

If you're not an engineer, do not go to AH for your Deadly Blunderbuss if you have mining. It is cheaper to mine 8 Copper Bars, buy 2 med leather off AH, and get a Wooden Stock from a supplier and get an engineer to do it for you. All together I paid 60s to get mine made (tip included) as opposed to the whopping 2g 50s I would have paid in the AH

1. You should at least be level 25 to solo this quest.

2. Get the quest from Locke Okarr by the guard tower right outside Splintertree Post&nbsp

3. Head to Satyrnaar you should find the oil near a tree at 80,48 near the back of the camp.

4. Go to thistfur village and kill the creatures there until you get the rope (I killed about 7 of them before it dropped).

5. Hearth or fly to orgimmar and buy 2 medium leather and 8 copper bars (or farm them if you can) off the Auction House and buy from a vendor 2 weak fluxes and 1 wooden stock and ask for an engineer to make a deadly blunderbuss from your guild or over the trade channel or if your lucky(unlike me) buy the gun itself of the Auction House or if your an engineer make it yourself.
(This part can take a while)

6. Fly to ratchet and take the boat to boot bay. As soon as you get off search BEHIND all the crates right by the boat for the axe shipment
then, get back on the boat and fly back to Splintertree Post and talk to Pixel who is on the crates right by the windrider master and turn in the gun for the saw blades.

7. Go turn in the quest and get your reward!

Now if you still cant get this quest done then your really unlucky or need some common sense

When going after the Warsong Oil, if there's any chance at all someone will also be after it, go straight to Night Run and leave the other two camps alone. It's a bit more of a hike but you're less likely to frustrate yourself. My and my friend's leveling group (me, a paladin, them a hunter and a mage) tried to do this for quick blues, and went to Satyrnaar first, where there were other people after the same thing. I got one jar and after over half an hour we had yet to see another, and neither had the competition. So we made the hike to Night Run and there were five or six jars there, but as I already had mine I don't know how many were interactible. Both my friends got theirs, though, and then we hearthed and logged.

Easiest way to Night Run is to follow the river up after going west from Splintertree, and if you keep an eye on the minimap you'll eventually see a path northwest that cuts into the hills. Head up that then head south towards the point, that's Night Run. Be prepared to fight a lot of bears and spiders though

By Anonymous on 05/04/2007 (Patch 2.0.12)
Just completed this solo on my 27 rogue. In my experience the hardest thing to get is the oil.

To make your life easier, get the oil in NIGHT RUN, which can be reached by following the Falfarren River north.

I say go to Night Run for a few reasons. One, there are many oil spawns close together, so if you happen to be with a friend this is where you want to go to avoid having to wait for a long oil respawn. When I went today, there were three jugs of warsong oil spawned in the camp there. I've done this with 4 different hordies and found oil in Night Run every time.

Also, the satyrs are easiest to kill solo at night run. They seem to be the lowest level there, topping out at 27 from what I have seen, as opposed to the 28+ satyrs that inhabit Satyrnaar and Xavian (where there are some 30+). Another good thing is today I didn't see any warlock satyrs at Night Run. As an asassination rogue, it can be annoying taking out mobs with pets.

But the BEST advantage to night run is NO CURSE. That 5 minute chest pain curse with the random stun and damage (curse of the blackheart?) is one of the most ANNOYING debuffs I've come across, and has killed me numerous times as I attempted to stealth around or run away from satyrnaar. but I did not get this debuff at all in Night Run. The satyrs there were casting an "overwhelming stench" which I have no idea what it does, but it only lasts 5 seconds.

So go to Night Run for the oil, and while you're there collect some satyr horns! )

i finaly found the oil in night run, was a bit tricky to spot at first initially used eagle eye to try and find it ,but there is a lge flask of melon juice which is the only other interactive thing in the southern camp of night run, you can sneak down the side and pick the shadowstalkers off as they appear, which is pretty easy,

the flask of oil sits right next to the lge tree at the front of their camp, if you look at the camp from the centre of night run it is a slight left, youll see it, it has a slight green tinge to it, 26 hunter and did it no troubles, just slowly.

To do this quest its simple

For the War Blades::

at any time try to get about 8copper bars a wooden stock+weak flux(from
any engineering supplier) and 2 medium leather!(which is 5s)

the ah sells these for 2gold 50s USUALLY...if you bring the mats and about 10s(for creation cost) and all that you save yoru self 2g...Then get made and turn it into pixel in Splintertree post next to the batrider/windridger

For The Oil::

Go to Satynarr at about 66,56 its around the camp it changes around about 3places in the middle and on the outside tens

For The Shipment:

Go to rachet if you dont know where it is go to crossroads and just
go east. then go to booty bay by boat and look for the box on the north sdie when you first get off the boat.

For the Rope::

North of astranarr at cords of 60,60 about a 25% drop rate!
If you have the troll charm quest you find those in taht same place and if you think you can do it in the back there is an escort quest

Then hand it in and your set

To get the saw blades, you need to talk to Pixel in Splintertree Post. She's a female goblin, standing on a crate next to the flight path guy. Pixel will give you the blades if you get her a deadly blunderbuss. Engineers craft this, for them this is easy. If you aren't an engineer, check the AH for them. I got mine for a little over 1 gold.
The oil spawns as a small vase randomly around Satyrnaar. There should be some at the feet of a few trees. I recommend picking up the Satyr Horns quest from Pixel (how efficient) before getting the oil.
For the rope, it drops randomly off furbolgs. Get either King of the Foulweed or the Between a Rock and a Thistlefur quests for faster questing.
Lastly, the crate of axes. Get over to Ratchet, take the boat to Booty Bay, and procure the crate. I didn't get the crate until I was lv. 34, but you don't need to wait that long. As long as you don't plan on staying in STV, it'll be okay.

DONT DO THIS QUEST unless ur engineer. instead of U gain gain the XP faster killing mobs and after selling all the drop U can buy some really nice equip cheaper than what U pay for that bloody gun and spend less time on it.
