Gingerbread Cookie (5)
Ice Cold Milk

Description

Hey, can you do Greatfather Winter a favor, um, little < boy / girl>?

Not to needlessly talk about myself in the third person, but Greatfather Winter has been at this all day and he could use a treat himself. Some gingerbread cookies and ice cold milk to wash them down with would really hit the spot. Think you could be a friend to the Greatfather and fetch some for me?

Pretty simple quest. You can buy the Gingerbread Cookie recipe from the goblin next to the quest-giver. If you don't know cooking go learn it from the cook in Origrammer, you only need to have the level 1 skill. Then you can learn the recipe. Now you can get the spices from the girl who you got the recipe from and also the Holiday Spices. I bought the 5 eggs from the AH (seemed a little expensive at 1G for 5 eggs) and I got the milk from a vendor in the Inn. Go to a fire, and cook away. Return the cookies to Great Father Winter (located across from where you got the quest)!

I'm guessing Blizzard made these so they will only drop good stuff after the 24th of December.

You know, it because it's bad to open your christmas presents before christmas =)

The vendors near him sell the recipe for cookies, and you can buy the milk at any inn.

Go to IF and pick up the quest. Go to SW and get 5 Holiday Spices and the Cookie recipie from the male goblin outside the AH. Now go to Westfall and kill the Fleshrippers till you have 5 Small Eggs, fire up your barby (Cookingfire) and make the cookies. Now head back to IF get Ice Cold Milk from the Inn lady. Your done, hope this helps and Merry Christmas! :D

Ok, I think this is a fun quest and thought I would kinda lay some things out.

1st: You get the quest in IF outside of the Bank. Right next to the bank is 2 vendors. One of those vendors has the cookie receipe and the bag of holiday spices needed to make the cookies.

2nd: If you arent a cook, no big deal go to a cook trainer and you will start off at lvl 1 which is the requirement to make the gingerbread cookie from the receipe.

3rd: Now all you really need is the small eggs and a cooking fire. The small eggs are really easy to get. I got a bunch in darkshore near auberdine by killing the moonkin just a little north of auberdine. Or you can buy them from the AH if they have them. Any one trained in cooking can make a cooking fire. You just need to buy flint and wood from a vendor. I also got those items in auberdine.

4th: Once u have all the ingredients. Open up your professions and click camp fire. You will create a fire. From there click your cooking and select the receipe from the screen and u will be able to cook.

Hope that explains in detail what ya gotta do, if I left anything out, sry

It's funny how Small Eggs are at the Auction House for 3-4 gold for 5.

I got them from the lvl 10 moonkins in darkshore near auberdine or whatever. Was raiding there anyway, so why not give it a try. :) Swoops in tb also drops them, harder to find tho.

I also received bolts of linen cloth x4.&nbsp The quest for the treats is the prequel to getting a much cooler gift in the mail, so if you've done this quest and received something you don't really want/need, check your mail tomorrow and you'll have a gift there.&nbsp The XP alone should be gift enough to the less-than-60 players, not bad for paying a few silver for spices and milk.&nbsp

But then again, if you're unsatisfied with the gift directly from Great-father Winter, there are tons of gifts for you under the Christmas tree right next to him.&nbsp

You get the recipe and spices from the female goblin by the AH. Eggs most easily obtainable from swoops in Mulgore.

This quest either has a level requirement, or it is doable only once per *account*. I tried making a 1stlevel alt to do it, he couldn't get the quest.

The reward is random and can be VERY interesting, such as (Item #17724) or (Item #17725)

You get them from birds, like the ones around Thunder Bluff. Not the striders (or birds that walk) but the swoops and such that look like vultures. Be prepared to vie with 60's.

FYI You have to be minimum level 10 to do this quest. I had a new toon I had started about 2 weeks before the festivities. As soon as I got to 10 the quests became available to me.

You can either find the eggs south of Thunderbluff off Swoops, or go to Darkshore and kill Moonkins to get your Small Eggs.

The reward for this quest varies, from 10 Copper Bars to 4 Bolts of Linen. However after you finish another Christmakah quest you get a letter from Great-father Winter with a small box of holiday googies.
