Tremors of the Earth

Use the Sign of the Earth to activate the Pillars of Amethyst, Opal, and Diamond and obtain the Runestones.

Place the runestones in the Seal of the Earth to free Blacklash and Hematus.

Slay them and return Blacklash's Bindings, the Chains of Hematus, and the Sign of the Earth to Garek.
Blacklash's Bindings
Chains of Hematus
Sign of the Earth
Provided Item:
Sign of the Earth

Description

It has become obvious that we cannot ensure that Blacklash and Hematus will remain imprisoned in Lethlor. That black dragons have taken up residence there, and that the ogres managed to steal the Sign indicates that more drastic measures will have to be taken.

The drakes' prison is maintained by three runestones that may only be retrieved using the Sign of the Earth. Those runestones can then be used to break the seal which imprisons them.

<name>... assure that their dreams are eternal.

Pillars are fairly easy to get to and find. Shouldn't have to fight any elites to get your runestones. Their locations are as follows:

Pillar of Amethyst: 81,63
Pillar of Opal: 72,66
Pillar of Diamond: 83,33

You then use the Seal of the Earth located at 81,49. I suggest clearing a couple of the elite dragons from around the Seal as it spawns two level 50 elite dragons.

The diamond pillar is at the top, north east corner of the map, and the other two is seen immediately if you approach the ravine from the bottom.

You have to get those stones to summon the dragons.. The tower at which to SUMMON is at the cente at the elite dragons, called the Seal of the Earth. You summon and you run like hell because you will aggro if your level is around theirs.

======

We did this with a 47 frost-specced mage and 46 retribution-specced paladin.

I pulled and let the pally hold aggro. I didn't bother using arcane missles, and stuck with frost, that's what did damage. Frost nova and fire, of course, didn't work, so there was little chance for crits.

HOWEVER, we took the first dragon down. The paladin had to use his bubble on him and Lay on Hands on me. I had to use iceblock to lose aggro, and mana agate/evocation. Heh, since we used most of our cooldowns, I didn't think we could do the second dragon.

We started, but we had to kite him to lose another dragon, and the pally took on damage and had to use that mana to heal while we didn't inflict any damage at all. Dead.

Walking back and that fight allowed most cooldowns to come to an end.

This time, it was easy. I let the pally have it to 90% then all out frostbolts. Not one crit, but we did it. Only had to use an evocation.

It was fun. They were orange to us, so we felt pretty good. Our gear sucked, too :D

You'll probably don't believe me but I really don't care.

Did this yesterday with my L52 Paladin as good as solo without even needing my emergency stuff (lay-on-hands and such). Used 2 fire-protection potions, 1 mana potion.

Just kill 2 of those L43 elite dragons to make room for a (longggg) fight.

Activate pillar (with the 3 gems you gathered) and run like hell (used Nifty stopwatch here, first time I used that btw). After a short distance both dragons return to the pillar.

Now put up fire-resistance aura, blessing of might, judge seal of light, put up seal of the crusader, use 1H with shield (mediocre shield too btw).

Walk up to the pillar and judge the closest dragon (they seem very close to each-other and even the smaller ones but my judgement only aggroed one) and walk backwards till your back is to a mountain while slaying.

Then hack away and heal at half life! Put up seal of crusader every 30sec and bless with wisdom at 1/3 mana level, mb sooner (needed one mana-potion so...). The dragon starts to get angry at say below 1/3 of his life and does some more dmg in shorter time. But no funny bussiness in the end.
Take new fire-protection potion and have a drink )
The other dragon even put some kind of spell on me but that was cure-able (cost more mana, keep eye on that), but it seemed he didn't torch me as much tough and hit me more with his claws.

Funniest thing, just as I was half way through the second dragon another Paladin shows up and after looking at us for a while starts healing me. Turns out later I fought with him before.
Told me he did this too with group of friends including a L60 and that he wouldn't even think of trying it alone which make me really proud there for a moment.

So a little preparation, concentration and patience payed off for me. And since I did all the Sunken Temple quests I gathered later that evening this was one hell of a good day 8`)

PS. got 1326XP for the first dragon and 1050XP for the second one(prob. because the pally helped me) and 5600XP for quest. The pally got some nice skins/scales, he was there for that anyway.

We knocked this out last night with a Level 48 Warlock (specced Affliction/Destruction) and a Level 48 Druid (specced Feral).

We summoned the two level-50 elite dragons and ended up dying in 10 seconds because they spawned, literally, on top of us.&nbsp Oops.&nbsp Good thing I had a soulstone on my Druid.

Take 2: She rezzes me and we buff up.&nbsp We then dropped the 1st named summon.&nbsp We rest up and tackle the second one, when one of the wandering level-44 elites got too close and joined in.&nbsp Back to the graveyard.

Take 3: We rez again and buff up.&nbsp After clearing the area, we tackle the 2nd named summon, who we drop.

Learn from our mistakes:
1) Have the rest of your party hang back from the Seal of the Earth when you do the summon.&nbsp Preferably, somebody who can heal the poor sap who's doing the summoning.
2) CLEAR THE AREA FIRST.&nbsp Otherwise, you'll have a bunch of 44-elites jumping in on the fight.
3) Pull each of the named 50-elites one at a time.&nbsp They look like they're close together, but they're not.
4) If you have a Warlock in the party, Soulstone your rezzer.&nbsp It'll make life a lot easier.
5) Again, if you have a Warlock, everybody should get a Healthstone.&nbsp You'll need 'em.

From my perspective (the 48 Warlock), a couple of pointers

The Voidwalker seemed the best choice.&nbsp Both dragons appeared to be highly resistant to fire damage, making the Imp's DPS output negligible.&nbsp The Succubus fell way too quickly once it gained aggro, and there were no spells to lock or dispellable debuffs, rendering the Felhunter's anti-magic abilities moot.

I would send in my Voidwalker and immediately recall it when it drew aggro, pulling the dragon back to our location.&nbsp The Druid would drop to bear form and start tanking, causing the dragon to repeatedly shift aggro between my voidwalker and her and back.

Any fire-related spells (Immolate, Searing Pain, etc.) are a waste of mana, as both dragons appear to be highly resistant to fire damage.

Any shadow-based DoT spells (Corruption, any Curse, Siphon Life) would only stick for a second or two before being dispelled.&nbsp Drain Life worked, but was too slow from a DPS standpoint.

In the end, I was left to spamming Shadowbolts which seemed to do the trick.&nbsp Eventually, they would notice that I was the one doing the most damage and turn their attention to me.&nbsp I would Sacrifice my Voidwalker and continue to spam Shadowbolt behind the safety of my sacrifice shield.&nbsp The Druid shifted to cat and went to town shredding the mob.&nbsp Eventually, the dragon will shift aggro back to the Druid, and she'll shift back to bear.&nbsp By then, I finished it off with Shadowburn.

Rinse, lather, repeat.

Just killed these guys with two 46s (rogue and druid). Not easy, but doable.

Separating them is easy: just summon and immediately run away until they turn back (like any mob). Speed helps to avoid getting hit, I suppose. Once they're both summoned and just sitting around the obelisk, just pull and only one should come.

Both drakes are immune to stun, entangling roots and hibernate. Kick wasn't interrupting their dragon breath, either, though it works on the nearby elites.

We used love fools (target dummies) to allow the druid to heal himself, along with barkskin and harm prevention belt.

Soloed as a level 50 Frost Mage.

Blacklash ability: Flame Breath - Frontal Cone AoE - he'll cast it even if you move out of range. Make good use of this.

Hematus ability: Flame Buffet - Does fire damage and increases fire damage taken by an amount. Stacks

If you're trying to kite these two, keep in mind that they can be pulled seperately, run slightly faster than normal runspeed, and hit fairly hard. (I was crit for 850)

If you're trying this as a Frost Mage (fire won't be able to, as they are fire-immune) here are some tips.

Always try to keep Ice Barrier up, to avoid being crushed

Make use of blink, you should be able to blink far enough ahead to get one frostbolt off before running.

Use your water elemental twice, once after a cold snap. He'll be doing a whole lot of damage while you kite.

Try and bounce the drake between you and your elemental via Ice Blocking.

I found Blacklash to be slightly easier. Good luck!

Soloed them as a lvl 59 frost mage. This may not sound like a big deal, but they're immune to frost effects and fire spells so basically I had to tank each of them while trying to dish out 12k damage per dragon in my frost spells.

Backlash was easier of the two and died on the first try. Hematus seems to have a bit more health, though. I had to try him 3 times before I could kill him, but luckily I didn't die. Ice barrier was the key to beating them.

Solo'd painlessly as a lvl48 enhancement shammy. Took out two of the elite guards, popped the gems, popped ghostwolf and ran away. When the named dragons spawned, pulled them one by one (earth shock interrupts their flame breath) and killed them. Very simple indeed, the elite guardians are harder than the dragons themselves.

56 Warrior
50 Priest (me ^_^)
47 Hunter
42 Warrior
42 Warlock

first attempt didnt go too well. we managed to stay alive for a while and then got wiped.
we then came back and the 2 were still there. so we thought if we killed 1 we could come back and kill the other one. so the hunter pulled Hermatus with his bow and he came solo. we killed him with no interferance then we pulled Blacklash the same way and won @ life =)

The easy part is getting the three required stones from the other pillars. Then you must fight dragons around the final pillar.

The can easily be fought one at a time and don't need to be pulled. They look close together because they are so big but they are not. Fight one at a time even if in a group.

The voidwalker must be sacraficed 1/2 through the fight.

I sent in the void walker, and cast corruption. These are immune to fire spells. Then, I cast curse of shadow, and repeatedly cast rank 7 shadow bolt. Monitor corruptino and recast when necessary. Then, when voidwalker is to die, sacrafice him. You will get hit once or twice, but you will live and kill of the big boy.

Did it last night. My 53 warlock and my friend's 41 hunter. Had to use soulstone during the first 50 elite dragon but the second went down a bit easier. I think the toughest thing about the dragons is that they do this "Flame Buffet" debuff, which increases their fire damage. The debuff stacks, I think i had it on 3 times and it increased the dragons fire damage by +229.

I had no idea what these two dragons were for, but I soloed them as a 52 warlock, and I didn't kill any of the lower level ones around the edge. Use a voidwalker, you'll get him to about 35-40% health, sacrifice, summon a felhunter, and watch that nasty fire spell disappear! I don't think the two horde (who were no doubt saying "please don't kill them" - they were level 42s and clearly waiting for help) would have been too impressed, but it kept saying they were making strange gestures at me... these are also immune to fear which almost made everything go wrong for me too, so be careful of that.

These dragons are very easy for their level. My group of four did it, 40 priest
40 warrior
45 mage <------ Me
53 mage

We did it easily. Our strategy was :
1/ 53 mage went to summon the dragons( He was only one with all the stones)
2/ Ran back and then he pulled blacklash with a frostbolt
3/ repeated for hematus

You MUST be sure that you clear all the dragons around the pillar.

By the way, they are kind of easy for their level because normal things 5 levels above me resist about 75% of my spells, and the ones that hit do about 25% of the normal damage. But with these dragons, still 5 levels above me, they resisted only about 25% and the ones that hit ( the other 75% of course ) did full damage. Just be sure to use frost against these guys if your a mage.
