Heya,

This guy is one of the hardest NPCs to locate. He is indeed on the west side of the temple in Darnassus. He looks like an elderly dwarf commoner dressed in simple brown and white clothing. Right click him and complete the quest.

Thats where I found him as well.

Approach the Moon temple from the main routa, and then go to the right instead of entering the temple. He will be stading between to collums under the eastern roof thing...... That would be eastern as to the direction your moving, or west on the map :)

Head to the temple of the moon in darnassus, facing the door, take a right and follow the lovely carpet to the feet of the prospector.

there must have been some kind of a change in the new patch, because he isnt in 30,84

first of all the guy will get the fossil u just have to walk around and make sure he doesnt die. It gets fairly annoying. But this is a prety easy quest i solo'd at 21 rogue. nearly died like once or so i recomend bringing a few pots.
