Xorothian Stardust

Purchase Xorothian Stardust from Ur'dan. Bring it to Gorzeeki Wildeyes in the Burning Steppes.
Xorothian Stardust

Description

So you come to me seeking Xorothian stardust? You wish to open a portal to Xoroth, the domain of Hel'nurath my rival? Perhaps you plan to steal from him one of his precious dreadsteeds?

Very well. My servant Ur'dan has a supply of Xorothian stardust. You may obtain it from him... if you can pay the price.

This part is very simple. After doing Lord Banehollows quest which deals with killing Ulathek, you return to him to complete the quest which takes you to this new quest.

All you do is buy the Stardust for 150g off of Ur'dan, which is right beside Lord Banehollow. Once you do so, you just go back to the Burning Steppes and give the Stardust to Gorzeeki Wildeyes.

yea well DON'T do what i did, i bought the riding skills for 500 and some odd gold, and then went and started the warlock qst for summon dreadsteed, not knowing anything at the time, and nothing about needing to buy mats and get a group for dire maul, went and spent another crazy amount of gold when i coulda waited on buying the riding skill and got it threw completion of warlock quest (o well learn from my mistake)

So what i mean, Is wait to do your dreadsteed quest - dont buy the riding skill, ya you might get it at level 65 like i did - but you will save 510 gold

150 gold

And that's not even the end of it.&nbsp Expect to pay about 250 gold more, plus other materials, for about 600g total.

you have to pay for "Xorothian Dust" in jaedenaar - 150g

this part is really easy if you have the money. just use the potion and run into jaedenar and make sure you bring the money with you talk to the big guy and he will tell you to talk to the guy next to him buy the stuff and get out. the potions are bought for 3 for 3g.

The 600g is rough amount of how much you will spend. Bare minimum you will spend 406g as there are vendor items you need that add up to that amount. Other stuff like arcanite, dark iron ore, etc, can be found in AH or you can get from guildies and depending on server, you will spend another couple hundred on these items.

After you have completed all parts of this quest and have the dreadsteed, what happens to all the mats?

From what I've learnt you get to keep them, but can someone with the dreadsteed just confirm this?

I have been hearing that I don't have to pay for this stupid dust. I really do not have 150 gold and I am very not wanting to pay. How does this go homies?

I did the entire chain and got my mount in one day's playing time. It was a pain in the ass but it wasn't so bad. Herbalism/Skinning helped, made over 1k gold before I even hit 60 so I wasn't hurting for gold.

ok for anyone who is like me and got horribly confused during this q-

everyone has to get the bell, the wheel, and the candle(if you buy all the mats it costs around 400g on rexxar).&nbsp however, after this you DO NOT have to spend the extra 250g on the jar, the lodestone, and the glyphs if you find a lock who already has them.&nbsp

The average amount of g spent on this q is 566g(if you have a friend)-150 on stardust, 6 on the potion to get the stardust, and 400 on the mats for the bell, candle, and wheel, and about 10 on the arcanite rod

or 806g if you buy everything yourself.

if you are on rexxar you can pst me, i will keep the lodestone, jar, and glyphs
