Description

It is clear the prospector depended on explosives and those noisy vehicles to rip the ground apart. We can expect a new foreman to take over soon.

I want to give the dwarves a taste of their own medicine. According to these plans if we combine nitroglycerin with wood pulp and sodium nitrate we can create an explosive charge. The rifleman, soldiers and officers in the Keep are known to have the supplies.

Collect these items and bring them to me. I will fashion a charge that the dwarves won't forget!

the quest giver can be found wandering along the road in the south barrens. As far as the quest goes&nbsp first he will ask you to kill 6 forman, 15 excavators and then the head excavator. all of them can be found in the mining pit in the southeast corner of the barrens. The quest giver then asks you to collect several item to make some explosive, these are dropped by the riflemen, officers and soldiers up the hill in the keep from the pit, finally the plane you blow up is in the corner of the pit on the top of the tower

All of these items drop off of the mobs in and around Bael'dun Keep, which is located above the mobs you killed for the previous quest in this chain.

On a side note, make sure to get the following quest from Feegly the Exiled, just south-east of the ramp leading up to the keep.

I was able to lurk outside and get everything I needed.&nbsp The Dorfs respawn fast and drop lots.
Inside the hold is nice if you're undead, troll, or orc, but Taurens are just too large for dorf hallways.&nbsp I ran it with anouther tauren and we ended up agroing some dorfs after we thought they were all dead I was still losing points.&nbsp Turned out I had a stinking dorf up mu butt and couldn't even see it!
If you die it's hard to find an open spot to res.

The keep is just north of the pit, to the west in the hills by the pit.&nbsp When you approach the pit from the north, you will see the pit riggings on the left, follow the ledge and it will lead you to the keep.

You can get the drops from the 4-5 outside guards on the entry way without entering the keep.

I never entered and completed the task.&nbsp The soldiers are no sweat.

The riflemen are easy to lure with ranged damage.&nbsp Damage them and run halfway down the hill, turn and close hand to hand.&nbsp This way they dont call for help.

I did run into a 25th lvl riflemen, but not elite.&nbsp I defeated him and I was 21st level Druid.&nbsp Wrath, Entangle, Wrath, Moon, Bearslaps.

I was a 21 lvl Druid, but leveled to 22 with 4 drops needed.

I needed 20 kills to obtain 6 of each drops.&nbsp

Frankly, the first phase was harder.&nbsp dealing with all the pit aggro solo wasnt easy.

The Keep is on the left side of the pit, when going south. Theres no elite NPC's. Just a level 30 (boss) with a level 26 and some others (don't remember the level) on the deeps of the Keep. And we do not need to go that far to complete the quest. Who goes there it's just for Xp (like me :) ...).

All three items needed for the quest drop off of mobs outside the mine above the digsite. If you have patience for respawns you never have to really enter the mine. Most outside guys drop 1-2 of the items, some none/some all - took about 3 respawns to get them all. Soloed it as a level 27 fire mage in about 10 minutes. As a side note you can get to a quest if you jump off the southeast side by Freegly the Exiled and can run back up. Also, bruiseweed and earthroot spawn nearby.

For those who are impatient or brave, you can go deep inside the keep for your items, but I suggest going into a group and moving slowly. The Keep is small and unless you're 26+, you WILL pull a lot of aggro.

Otherwise, the quest is perfectly soloable, just hunt around outside the keep and maybe a little into it. The named mob isn't until deep inside the keep.

Guess I don't understand?&nbsp You do not need to go into the Keep.&nbsp Just kill the soldiers on the ramp to the Keep & the ones on the outside of the keep.

I did this with my lvl 23 Shaman, solo.

The riflemen will kick your butt.&nbsp Attack one and another will shoot you.&nbsp I could not beat the riflemen by casting.&nbsp I had to Melee with them and hope that a second one did start shooting me.

Not a hard quest for a lvl 23, just took time and 3 deaths by riflemen.

Have Fun - Good Luck - & it is just a game!

The quest is pretty easy and (if you choose to skip the quest given by the Exile in the tent) can be done without entering the keep: just kill everything you see outside and, when you're done, you'll see the first repops on the ramp. Quest items are not linked to a particular type of dwarf, so just kill everything.

Abilities:
- Bael'Dun Soldier: ordinary warrior, can be pulled
- Bael'Dun Rifleman: can't be pulled, since has a ranged attack
- Bael'Dun Officer: warrior with improved parry chance and higher dps, can be pulled
Remember all of them will run on low health.

I didn't think this one was too hard. I solo'd it as L25 shaman. Died once, but that was becasue I was greedy. :(

i just wasted the mobs outside. Once I did them all, the ones at the beginning respawned and I pwned them again.

The first few were dropping two of the items I needed, but as I re-killed them, the drops became less frequent, but the money was good...a few silvers were dropped and I bagged a bunch of wool.
