Following Khazgorm's plans it should be no problem to fashion an explosive charge

Ah, there we go.

Now, <name>, I am going to entrust you with a special task. Take this explosive stick and use it to blow up the flying machine at Bael Modan.

Not only is the flying machine a key part of the site's infrastructure it also serves as a weapon of war. More importantly it is an icon of power and an insult to the memory of my tribe.

Make me proud by completing this heroic task and you shall be rewarded.

For those that, like me, are a little less than attentive than they should be, the Flying Machine isn't inside the keep at all. If you follow the ramp down to the excavation as you would have done for the first stage in this quest chain you'll see the rickety wooden tower with the Flying Machine at the top as you get to the first bend in the ramp. Hope this helps and you don't have to spend an hour running around the keep like I did!

if anyone is still confused as to the plane location...&nbsp Just head around the large hole along the path and get to the right most side of the hole.&nbsp There you will see a rikety old shack with a winding staircase, at the top KA - BOOM Quest is done...&nbsp The 47.85 is right about where it is as said earlier, you only have to kill like 3-6 guys making this the easiest of the quests in bael modan so far... And by the way I never saw any Elites nor level 33 like was mentioned on the other section of this quest chain.

Lol, just like danb did, I found my dumb ass roaming the keep for about 30 minutes trying to figure out how the hell to blow up the plane hanging in there.... I like to figure out quests on my own before I check here, so after the 30 minutes I realized how dumb I was. The expirence was quite nice though don't get me wrong :D

As some other people were, I was looking inside the keep. Although I got lots of XP from doing that, I never would have found it! Thanks alot. Oh, and people, when someone gives you the co-ords to a quest location, how the hell do you expect them to be more specific? It's nice enough that they'd help noobs like us out anyways =)

Map Coordinates are just a percentage of the named map-image...

so "Barrens 42,84" means...

look at the Barrens map
42% from the left side
84% from the top

You can eyeball the map without an addon and guestimate the right location from the coordinates.

So pay attention to the named map, as well as the actual coordinates so you won't get lost.

OK I did this chain at 24,no problem but how cheesy is it when you dont even have to get near the ramp to detonate the explosive? For you guys with coords stand at 46,85 and right click.

Guys... the plane is "NOT IN THE KEEP".
Go to the Excavation site next to it. If you follow the ramp down to the Excavation site, you can't miss the tower with the plane on it. Just click on it and it's done.

Loc 46, 85... Just DON'T GO IN THE KEEP!

Natural progression of this chain seemed like: excavation, front gate of the keep , then... inside the keep, right? NO!
I probably passed that damn thing a dozen (exageration) times running back INTO the keep after dying in there.

I am only lvl 23 and now I am about to ding 24, stormed the keep 3 or 4 times to get to the dang dupper lvl to try to destroy the "flying" machines they have in there...&nbsp I killed a dozen guards and got ganked by the frekin elite bartender and the elite captian of the guard as well as the lvl 30 general guy in the basement (dont ask).
Why did this quest have to be so easy? I am pissed :p

Anyway yeah the plane is outside the keep near the hole where you did the first part of this chain. Maybe I should have come here first, I just dont like spoiling the fun of doing it on my own... then again...

When you enter the digsite at 46.85 you'll see a stone light fixture to your right. Look east from there and you will see a tower - on top of that tower is the flying machine - if you mouse over it you will see the wheel that can activate the Explosive Stick of Gann.

yes, i just wanted to say thanks for telling all of us where the plane really was but there was something that i found out that i didn't see mentioned but you don't even have to fight anything. when you get the quest and you see the plane your char. can throw the stick you don't have to fight or climb the tower just throw it

I went to the proper coordinates, had my bag open, seemed to place the stick of explosives but nothing happened. Now I no longer have the explosive AND the plane is still there! Help?

I dunno if anyone else was as lucky, but yes it is the one outside the keep, down in the quarry at the end of the first ramp. I didn't have to kill anyone. In fact, I didn't have to even go up to it. I stood there at the top of the ramp, ran my cursor over it and the little gear icon was gold. So i detenated the explosives from way the hell up at the top of the entrance ramp. Bug maybe? Not sure, But was a great time saver.

Extremely fun quest. The flying machine is right outside of the dig site with only three mobs around it, two of which didn't even aggro when I made my way up the ramp. However, before blowing the flying machine up, make sure your sound isn't turned up a bit much. I made the mistake of detonating the stick Gann gives you and it sounded like a gun shot >.<

This quest literally took me 5 minutes, and i got 2100 exp for it.

I talked to the guy, ghostwolfed down the road to the plane (which btw is NOT in that picture posted above. Looks more like he took the screenshot, while standing very close towhere the plane is. its on the copter pad 50 ft from the screenshot)

i only had to kill like 2 guys.
If the copter pad is empty, wait for the plane to respawn.

Also. You click the plane, when the action icon comes up. You dont need to click anything in your own inventory (like the dynamite)

I, also, was in the keep trying every airplane I saw, so thanks Anonymous!

When I went up the rickety wooden tower (which is on the path down to the dwarf excavation site), I saw the plane but I didn't even need to click on the dynamite Gann had given me.&nbsp Instead I got a gear when I moused over the plane and just by right-clicking on the plane it used up the dynamite, exploded the plane and completed the quest.
Easy easy easy.

I was level 27 when I went and got that quest and it says it is yellow? but the guys around it are all lvl 21ish... So one would think it has to be in the keep since they are the only ones yellow colored right? Guess not. It's the plane outside to the right of the hole if you are on the road looking towards the keep.

You have to get the explosives from the quest giver.... You can't use your own. If you lost the explosives he gave then abandon the quest and get it again.

of course i run into teh keep, i stealhed through the whole thing, got ot teh top cleared it nd i wa running around teh plains for like 5 min trying to figure this out. DONT GO INSIDE. nothing in htere. there is a chest if u go teh right way but its not worth it, even if u can stealth.

there is some general guy, not sure if thers a quest forem
