It took me only 18 minutes to finish this quest. Easy for rogues Sap, wait for energy to go up, backstab, wait for energy to hit 100, gouge, wait for energy to go up, backstab, sinister strike 3 times and then use a 5-point eviscerate as a ending attack. It IS true that Vile Sprite drop the Earrings. But so do Wild Grell. If you think Deth'ryll Satyr drop them, you are wrong. The drop rate of earring from Deth'ryll Satyr is 0%. Although both Vile Sprite and Wild Grell drop the Grell Earrings, it would be best if you killed Wild Grell. Wild Grell are the ones who are orange and look similar in body form as Vile Sprites. Sprites are the yellowish green ones with red markings on them. Another way to differ them is to look for their weapon. Wild Grell use swords, while Vile Sprites use green potion like things (guessing the bottle contains poison since they are the ones who poison you). The drop rate of the Wild Grell to me was 50% while Vile Sprite's was about 15%. It's good to kill Vile Sprites too, if you want Linen, Copper, or more exp. To all who want the coordinates for the whole place where they are located, they are from 44,36 to 48,38 or around that area. If you looking for the guy who gives the quest, Asterion, he is at 44,36. He is the only shirtless night elf with green hair kneeling down in a circle of blue in the area. Hard to miss. He is on top of the clift. For all who don't have coordinate addons, just go Northeast. Follow the long road leading North just west from Auberdine. You shouldn't miss it.

Drop rate around 40% over all Wild Grells and they´re all over the place =P

The earrings only drop off of the Grell the Satyr are for the next leg of the quest. Not sure if the drop item from the Satyr will drop prior to receiving the third leg as I knocked off several of them and didn't see the item.

I have done this quest this morning in 15 minutes, drop rate is 1 of 5 killed mobs. Quest is not bugged.

Kill those within the area that's in front of quest giver. Kill everyone in this area. Vile Sprites are the ones who dropped the earings for me. If you descended to the area below I doubt you will be that productive. Not a single earing dropped for me over there. If you run out of monsters wait for them to respawn.

I noticed that every level 12 wild grell that I killed dropped an ear ring.&nbsp I was at 46,39.&nbsp I killed a couple of wild sprites with no luck.&nbsp Took about 10 minutes total to get the eight.

the drop rate isnt that bad... it was nice for me :) maybe i was lucky...

it's like blizzard is trying to make you kill things to level up......

i personally didnt have any problems at all. At one point i got 5 in a row. Don't give up.

that that 1% who have the absolutely worst luck at a drop rate on quests come here to complain... the rest who do get a drop rate don't bother commenting at all, cept to debunk the 1%'ers who claim the drop rate is bugged. These are the same people who were at the wrong place at teh wrong time and get struck by lightning.

ps. collecting only 8 earrings, no one person can accurately describe the exact drop rate. you'd have to sample 100 people who finished the quest to get an accurate drop rate.

omg, where's Vreejack now? What you said 7 months ago was great. Some people do the quest in 15 minutes but others take forever. I got this quest done in bout 20. I'm a lvl 12 NE Hunter with a lvl 11 pet. I just sent my pet to kill the nearest ones to me. Killed probly 40 but got all the ear rings, died a couple of times. Wasn't too bad. I'm one of the people that like to work for the quest. I could be going to two hours and not bothered. It means I get more honor and lvl up faster.

i have killed 20 without a single drop

Drops about 1/3 of the time.

44, 36 Coordinates, right in front of the quest giver.

It's taken me 25 minutes since only 1 out of 5 has it.

i killed em for 10 mins while shapeshifted and got none.. but then i try without shapeshifting and i found the earrings in 5 minutes, so maybe the quest is bugged..

where do u find that blue light for this quest
