Description

It was the craft of one of the most powerful of the Highborne that created the seal that formed my prison. In Ameth'Aran, the ruins to the south that are twin to these, persists even today an ancient flame, blue in color. In this flame this seal could be destroyed.

The flame is in Ameth' aran which is south.
Leave Auberdine and follow the road south. There is a signpost pointing to Ameth'aran. Walk round the edge of the camp, until you're on the other side, next to the mountains. The flame is in the camp, in a stone gazebo, a little hidden by trees.
You should only have to kill 2 or 3 mobs to get to the flame.
ALSO. The quest you get from the man standing on the dock by the inn in Auberdine ends here. He asks you to kill his ex girlfriends spirit. Shes usually wandering near the flame.

Asterion misleads you a bit... the flame is not blue in color, but green. In Ameth Aran, look for the standing, pillared structures, with a brazier of green flame inside. It's near the south end of the ruins, on a small hill. Once in front of it, simply "use" the seal, and it will be destroyed.

For something that's supposed to be "blue in color", the flame is awfully green. Sea green, at best.

omg, people have repeatedly asked how to get coords. Download them...duh.

Secondly, there were plenty of descriptions of where this thing is. One person posted 42,62 and than two posted later, someone said "a little bit different. 42,61. Omg, the structure probably takes up both of them so why not just post correct coords once.

The quest says Destroy the Ancient Moonstone Seal at the ancient flame in Ameth'Aran, it also says the ruins are to the south and that they are twin to the Bashal'Aran, it says it's a flame, blue in color...so, go south till you the Ameth'Aran ruins and go in and look for a large structure, if your unsure, put ur mouse over it, it should turn to a wheel. If doesn't, it's not right. So look around for another large structure and do the same.

I found a few of those creatures around so got my pet to take them one by one till the area around the structure was clear than I went up, right clicked and away I was. (I also scored a chest next to it) :D

It's located in a structure that looks like a stone gazebo, with four columns and a roof. It's the only covered structure in the area. Best approach is from the south. I only had to kill 1 Writhing Highborn (or whatever - I think it was an 11) to get to it and aggroed none on the way out.

The "Athrikus" he refers to is Athrikus Narassin (http://classicdb.ch/?npc=3660), a level 31 mob whom you do get to kill for http://classicdb.ch/?quest=1143. However, there is no tie-in between that quest line and this one, other than the mention in the quest test.

From Aub head south watch for the blue eyed totem on west side of road juat past it is a "Street Sign (?)"
put at your back and head straight into ruins look for gazebo with green flame...&nbsp 44,62 (?)

To complete the quest you need to locate [object=16393] and use it to burn [item=5338].
Your destination point is far southeast of Auberdine, at the place named Ameth'aran. There are lots of ghosts so you barely miss it.
[object=16393] can be found at 42 61 spot, it looks like a kind of pagoda with an interactive flame.

Well actually that isn't true.&nbsp There are at least 2 gazebos in this area.&nbsp If you find one and it only has a campfire inside it there is another due South of that.&nbsp The flame is there.

The flame is located in one of only two "buildings" in the ruins. The one you want is the southernmost one. Easiest way is to run south past the ruins then turn left along its southern border. You will see the building on your left as you go. There are normally 2-3 mobs guarding it and avg lvls from 11-13. Pulling one at a time is difficult as they are very close to each other and if you pull them too far south you risk being attacked from behind from mobs in the area south of the ruins. Once you open the flame, just head back for your reward.
