Did this as soon as I hit 20. I handed in 1 quest in the Crossroads, then turned 1 more quest in at Tarren Mill. I had never been to Ashenvale or Hillsbrad, and the only thing I killed was the elemental. After completing the quest, I had 75%, which is 15 bars, 5 bars left til 21. Lots of exp for level 20. =] Plus, healing stream totem is very nice.

Oh, and by the way...

GRATS FOR FINISHING THE CHAIN! The wind totem quest is a lot easier than this one. And a lot shorter too...

Once you have the vial of purest water, head to Silverpine forest.&nbsp Drink the water sapta at the shrine, on the shore almost due west of the sepulcher.

You will see a bunch of green poisonous water elementals.&nbsp

NOTE: The corrupted one is the same size and shape as the others, so mouse around for him.

Kill the corrupted elemental (level 24) and grab his bracers.&nbsp

Then click on the flame in the middle.&nbsp A few seconds later, the purified elementals will appear.&nbsp The one you need to talk to is in the middle, you should see the yellow ?.&nbsp Talk to him, and you'll get the water shard.&nbsp Turn in at the barrens, then you are done.

NOTE:&nbsp If you failed the quest, you have to start at the water shrine in Silverpine forest.&nbsp There is a troll who will send you back to the person in the barrens to get another water sapta.&nbsp It's a lot of running around if you fail, but you need your water totem, so just bear with it.

you think that the water totem isn't good?
how about when you get to ZG, and the healers and the warriors are screaming:
poison cleansing, poison cleansing
and you're like:
omgwindfury. i dont got teh quest teh wtr totem.

and they will kick you outta the guild

or when you get to MC and the casters want the mana totem. you are like:
omgwindfury2- i dont got teh quest!1

you might aswell /gquit when you get in there, cause otherwise they'll do it for you.

This is funny, you guys make such an easy quest, sound so hard, this quest is cake, you guys shouldn't be having this many problems, all you do is take the remianing drops of water and the water sapta that you get from islen, you goto 38,44 in silverpine forest, you dring the sapta at the rock and then you can see the water elementals, hit tab and attack the guy, he drops the bracers, you goto the little shrine, and click on it, it requires the bracers and the drops of water, you complet that quest, then goto the little mound in the water, and wait a few seconds, the guy you need to talk to spawns, you talk to him and then you return to islen and complete the quest, this is the pretty much the same thing you did for the fire quest, just not as much running, really shouldn't be that hard people.

After everything else in this quest, I get to the site. Drink the stuff, see the ghosties. Find the corrupt one attack him. He wastes me. :P

Of course, the effect of the sight-juice is lost when I respawn, so I've got to go all the way back to the woman and get another bottle.

I give up.

Easiest way to get to the temple where u need to drink the sapta is to just head directly west behind the inn bit in the sepulchre and keep jumping past the tree until you can get down the mountain, brings u out right where u need to be, tooks me 30secs to travel there from sepulchre :D

If your using Cosmos the loc of the temple you have to go to is 37 43 otherwise head to north tide's hollow which is right by the dead fields. Once your at North tide's hollow head directly south down the shoreline, this means you will have to be on the ocean side keep going down the coast line till you see a troll named Tiev Mordune.
thats the place.

Tiev Mordune will help you with the quest if you DID NOT talk to the elemental.

ok what i did was got to teh troll dude and i couldnt speak to him so i used my sapta.

i killed teh corrupt manifestation of water and he dropped nothing.

i killed him twice and nothing

help what do i do?

You have to get the remaining drops of water at the same time you get the septa from the waterseer.

I know, it's stupid to have to start two quests when the items you receive are used in the same quest. You have to have the septa and the remaining drops of pure water before going to kill the minor infestations of water to get the bracers.

After getting the bracers, you "use" the brazier there where you killed the elemental to place the bracers and the remaining drops of water on it.

Then the pure spirit appears, you talk to him to finish quest then get quest from him to go back to waterseer to finish the water totem quest completely.

Pissed me off until I found out I had to go all the way back to get the drops of water to complete the quest.

All I can say about this quest is it takes a long time. By the end, the totem is awsome, but you just wasted 3 hours of your life trying to get a simple healing totem. Does it help? Yes it does, by far, but it is a ton a traveling and if you don't have the patience to finish the quest, then you won't be able to. It is a long and boring quest, but in the end, you are pleased that A.) You finished it and B.) You got the Water Totem. Overall, I would do this quest, just chop it up over a few days rather than 3 hours straight of traveling.

I've killed the elemental 4 times and no drop of the bracers.&nbsp And my sparta went out so I have to now go back all the way to Barrens to get the new sparta.&nbsp And hopefully this time it drops the bracers.&nbsp IT JUST SUX!

I got all the way to the part where the Elemental says "Shard Shard..." whatever, and then World Server went down, when i log back in i have no quest, and no quest items. All i can do is repeat getting the Sapta, seeing the Elementals, and slaying a Corrupted one who drops nothing. Even Tiev helped me and i could not talk to the Elemental he Summoned for me. Anyone think they can figure this one out? LOL

I have a friend who is currently trying to get the water totem. He has gotten the sapta and went to the rock thing by sepuclcher. However he is having problems in two areas. The first being the remaining drops of pure water. The second being the bracers. He stood there for the entire time the sapta was active and killed the elemental but no drop.

Any reccomendations?

If you have already gotten to the troll and the big rock this is what you do. Stand infront of the big rock and get ready for battle (totems or whatever) Then you drink the water sapta and water elementals start appearing all over the place. None are aggressive. Pick the corrupt one which is a level 22 easy to kill, his name says corrupt. He drops the bracer or whatever. THEN U WALK TO THE PLATE ON THE GROUND. dont go to the troll. finish that quest. Then wait for the water elemental to talk to who is on the island on water. Then he sends you back to barrens and you get your water totem. =)

I also did everything they said to do.. I killed the elemental, got the bracers. Had to drink the sapta to even be able to see them. Took the bracers and the pure water and put it on the brazier.... then... nothing. Absolutely nothing happened. No big dude to talk to. So... spoke with the troll, went back and got another sapta. Came back, the troll put his items on the brazier, and it looked like a cloud or something appeared on the little island, but STILL no one to talk to. What gives? Is this broken?

Just like many others have mentioned here, make sure that you have both the Remaining drops of purest water and the water sapta before you head over to the elemental shrine in Silverpine.&nbsp The quest will not work otherwise.

Overall -- an easy quest if you know where to go-- just lots of running around, but with wolf form, it makes it a lot more bearable.

i had trouble getting to the place where you kill the element...but i got there...a lot of walking but with WOLF FORM its fun and easy :P

this is bogus man i killed the element and nothin happened no drops no nothin and then he appeared again like 5 mins before my sight went out and i killed him and no drops....alot of people have had the same problems this quest is bogus man i cant even get the bracers......

hey, my name is windtalker (60 shaman on cenarius) i failed this quest when i was level 20/30... w/e cant rememeber now anyway... and my guild said i had to get my water totem for mc >.< i have tried doing the "water sapta over and over.. but it never drops anything... and i cant get the quest from islen :( plz help me :) illegal danish super snacks ftw

This quest is so long. When I read all of the comments with people saying "this is so long it's taking forever" I thought they were just being whiney and stuff. But I have spent an hour and a half on this quest and i'm still not done. Have fun with this quest. And does anyone really think that this quest is worth it? I mean the only things that are ok with the Water totem is Mana Tide, Poison and Disease cleansing (if that isn't for the air totem). Cause Mana and Healing stream totem doesn't seem all great. But i'll find out when I get it.

i am a level 26 shaman and i need to do this quest. i abandoned it because i thought i lost the item but now i want back to the trainers in org and they wont give it to me and all te other ppl listed in this quest i even went to the person south of ratchet but i cant get the quest. anyone know if i can or cant get this quest again since i abandoned it and how to if i can. anything you know about this would be nice to know plz post.

Ok,

I did what the quest asked me to do. i went to the place behind Seplucher and drank the Sapta. The guy appeared and i killed him and got the drop. Then i went back to Waterseer to return quest and it wouldn't lt me turn it in. It didn't show the gold question mark it showed the golden exclamation point. When i talk to her if gives me another Sapta and sends me back to the place behind Seplucher. What do I do?

I went back and forth from Ratchet to the area where I'm supposed to talk to Minor Manefestation of Water half a dozen times or more and could not get it to work so I could talk to the Manefestation. I did everything like I was supposed to when originally given the quest, nothing. I went back got more sapta, talked to the Troll, nothing. Tried every combination I could think of, nothing. This finally worked:
I abandoned the Call of Water quest that was in my log. I got the Sapta (again) and went to the little pond. I clicked the brazier first, and it gave me the quest again. The lights did their thing and then I drank the sapta. I was then able to talk to the manefestation and go back and get my totems. Hope this helps for anyone else who is having frustration with this quest.

just wanna add, that this is by far the wurst quest a human been can make. who ever invited this quest most have been sexueel frustrated. And thought it would be fun to srew the shaman's over. that little peace of ****

By the way have trided severals could have been lvl 60 by now but nooooooooooo some one needed to come up with this quest ty.
