Description

The key to Scholomance is called a Skeleton Key. It must be forged from the remains of a skeleton - several actually - and hardened by only the strongest of metals within a suitable mold. A signet of power from a being who naturally can open the portal to Scholomance will make the key ultimately function.

First thing's first though, <name>. We'll need skeletal fragments for the key's forging. Skeletons inside Andorhal should yield what we need, but the ones outside the walls might work too.

1. Drop from: Skeletal Acolyte and Skeletal Executioner
2. The drop rate is arround 100%
3. U can find em inside the Ruins of Andorhal

Yep.&nbsp I just finished the quest and basically any Executioner/Acolyte within Andorhal dropped these.&nbsp 100% drop rate.&nbsp very nice =)

HINT: If you're a mage counterspell the Acolytes during their Dark Mending cast, it heals them to almost full. 100% Drop rate from anything that is "Skeletal____" at Ruins of Andorhal.

Killed in Andorhal for about two hours 0/15 fragments.&nbsp I appealed to Blizzard and got the response: It's probably your UI, get rid of your addons. This worked like a charm, thanks Blizz.&nbsp Also, their email wanted me to completely cleanse the addons from my machine, rename WTF, WDB, and Interface folders.&nbsp I just disabled 'em all at the login screen, and had no problems, enabled addons after quest.&nbsp Hope this helps someone.

I had a 100% drop rate. Also got drops for the cauldrons, rune cloth and 3 greens while killing the 15 skeletons.

just kill anything with the word "skeleton" and you get 100% drop.&nbsp The quest giver tells you exactly where to kill em.. just find 15 and you're done

Odd, for myself, none were dropping outside, but I went into Andorhol, and had about 75% drop rate. Then again, this is in 1.5, so who knows if Blizzard fixed anything.

Extremely easy quest. Soloed as a 56 Fire Mage. I got the fragments from the Skeletal Executioners, at the ruins of andorhal. It felt like a 100% drop rate as they dropped on EVERY mob I killed. The hard part would be not to pull hundreds of mobs together at the ruins, its pretty narrow in there. Fun quest overall.

Looks like the quest is bugged.
After collectiong 12 fragments with a drop rate on 100%, I didn't find more fragments. Killed about 30 skeletons and no drops..

This seems to be Broken with 1.4.1/1.4.2. Yet another thin in andorhal that doesnt work: the drop rate IN andorhal (they are green, i killed about 40 of them very fast) was 0.0% instead of ~25%
