Description

During the time of the Old Gods, elementals inhabited much of this world. They worshipped the Old Gods, and the Gods, through their power, kept the elementals bound to this world. When the Old Gods were banished, the elementals faded from our world and now only return at the bidding of powerful mages.

There are exceptions though. Some elementals were powerful enough to remain here on their own. One such elemental is Rok'Alim.

To test your strength, find Rok'Alim in Thousand Needles and slay him.

I first saw him at location "1" but then when i had the quest i found him down at the "3" location... Easy to kill with group... Lucky a healer wandered by and helped us out... You should be able to see him from the main road down at the "3" location.

I found him at the north west end.&nbsp Look between Feralas and two to three needles into 1K Needles.

It's more to the east of Highperch.
I thought, wth, I have an hour to kill, so I got the quest, followed the road to where it's "v"-shaped, then went directly south, towards a place that would be east-southeast of highperch.

From that I left the road it took about 15 seconds before I spotted him.

As was already posted, Rok'Alim is a level 30 ELITE mob. He can spawn in the area in front of Highperch or a little farther east, but of the three times I've seen him (pretty fast respawn) he was right along the southern wall. As a 29 Mage, I attempted to solo him. My first two attempts were so very close, but even with a summoned mana stone I just didn't have enough mana to kill him (2,000 mana + 400 for stone, non-twinked). When I added in a lesser mana potion (another 400 mana) I was able to kill him alone. Also, the Hyena Steelsnap walks right past that area, so get that quest in Thunder Bluff if you want to get them both done at the same time.

this dude was easy to find, i just looked at thism ap displayed (scroll up or down, forget which) he was at the northern most point om map. i did this as a level 28 orc warlock,(btw warlocks, if you fear and don't follow him, they don't normally aggro more mobs) and it was quite easy. i have a tank i can heal.

When my druid was feral, before 2.3, I managed to solo this around 32. Not too bad of a fight. It'll be even easier now, of course.

Why do I get the idea that Rok'Alim is a subtle reference to Muhammad Ali? Strong, hit hard, etc. Silly me.

I went up and down the coordinates listed above and spent 45 minutes traveling back and forth till he appeared. He must have a VERY slow respawn rate, so if you don't see him around on your first pass, expect to wait around awhile.

it is not a test of strength but a test of hide and go seek exept u don't get to hide.

how i solved this was started killing every monster i saw along the dots were people say they saw him and moved very sitamaticaly up and down from the path to the wall until i found hi

Found him at 11:22.....killed him alone....as warlock l31. So he isent that difficult, usedefear to keep him off me, and used shadowbolts...close but took him out.

Don't you have to complete the test of endurance to get this quest?&nbsp If you are completing this quest at levels 28, 29, 30 I have to assume you did the the endurance test first.&nbsp If you didn't have to do that to get this quest can you tell me how you got it? Thanks.

This guy is significantly easier than Grenka, just because of the fact that there's much less around helping him. I was able to sneak around the other mobs in the area, so I ended up only fighting Rok'Alim himself. Found him wandering in small circles about 15, 26.

Solo this one with a lvl 29 shamen. Took a few tries, just hit him with fire because he is immune to everthing else and then save mana to heal and just tank him while healing it takes a couple minutes but with the stoneskin totem was easy

I found him at 13,27. Seems odd that I spent 3 hours looking for him once and never found him. Then when I'm not looking, there he is. I beat him at lvl 32 as an Orc Shaman.

Solo'd as lev 30 Tauren Hunter. Tanked my Arikara pet, just picked him off. Hardest part was finding him infront of Highperch. Just watch out for Steelsnap +2 lev 29s. They roam the same area.

Soloed him at level 31 Shaman at 12,27 but it was really tough and after it was over I had 4 health left so if I would of missed my last hit I would of been killed.

Where does it spawn? I have not been able to find anyone who has ever seen him. I had a group of 5 hunters all of us trying to track him in the Thousand Needles and we never found a trace.
