Find the Defias Docket and return it to Watcher Backus in Duskwood.

	Defias Docket

Description

Defias activity? Well, there's always some activity; even if they keep to themselves we consider them a threat.

But now that I think about it, there was a recent sighting that seemed odd. It must have been a couple weeks ago, but some of their agents had gathered around Addle's Stead. From the report, I'd guessed something big went down.

Why don't you check there first and bring me back anything you find?

The farmstead is south of the road from Westfall just as you enter Duskwood.

They may be low level but their dagger backstab like attacks do some serious damage if you are a caster.

Confirmed location (24, 72), Addle's Stead in Duskwood, its easternmost house in the farm oh and this is a chain quest so you have to have done the pre-req quests in order to get this

p.s.
As of Sept. 18,2006 this quest isnt bugged, works fine, real easy, just entails a lot of running ang travelling

this quest was pretty easy, once i got the correct building. i went for the wrong building at first, and it got me killed. went back, found the correct stuff at the correct building, and it was very easy. lvl 28 priest, and i just got 2450 exp for completing this part of the chained quest.

I completed this as a lvl 31 warrior. I followed the road south and then west from Darkshire towards Westfall or Raven Hill. Just before the road up to Raven Hill there is a path south to Addle's Stead. I went for the house, the smaller building on the left as you walk south. There were two mages outside and a rogue. I just attacked and killed them and then charged the one guy inside, then opened the strongbox for the Docket.
easy stuff, then just ran back to town to collect.

Did the quest solo as lvl 31 warrior, I went for the house (the smaller building onthe left when walking south from the main road. It is south of Raven Hill, not far from the Westfall border. There were two mages and a rogue outside. Insode is the chest, and one easy kill.

If u r a druid/rogue then then:
1) Take on cat form and stealth or just stealth.
2) go to about 23,72 in duskwood.
3) go into a house.
4) kill 1 lvl 26 mob.
5) open box.
6) stealth out.

For any other classes it is in a house

I found the chest at coordinates 24,72..but you have to kill 2 mobs (lvl 25) 1 mob (lvl 27) and 1 mob (lvl 26)&nbsp VERY EASY quest for a lvl 30 to do it..i did it my self in lvl 28 as a warrior =D&nbsp np
You will find a small black chest at the floor when you walk in to the litle house.. You'll find the litle house South,east of Duskwood..very easy to find too..just as you know it all..the Dock you are about to find and the coordinates wich are given is in Duskwood..NOT WESTFALL&nbsp =D Thak You!

Make sure your not in a raid group with yourself, sometimes after being in a raid group you need to click on your head icon and pick leave group to really end the whole thing, twice!

Dont ask me why the chest(and some boxes on other quests) cant be opened while in a raid, its just the way the game is right now, not even sure if blizz knows that this is a issue, I figured it out myself after going insane.

You can actually pull one of them away. Looking at the house, I snuck around to the left and pulled the defias spellcaster, then took out the two. They grabbed one nearby, but I ran away. Then went back in and took out the one.

So, you can pull one of the three and it is exactly where this post said it is.

Sometimes also happens with ore veins and herbs, but it usually clears after a while. Worst case scenario, I've had bugged ore veins clear up after tuesday maintainence, but usually long before that.

just send in your void in the house, let her (yes, the void is a chick) aggro all npcs and then let the void attack something at the other side of the field. During the time, run in and open the chest. Just run away when you got it, you will get the shard back from the void if you run away far enough.

The lockbox opened fine for me. (1:15 p.m. EST 1/29/06 @ Azjol-Nerub) Perhaps it the issue is server specific?

Extra note: There is also a solid chest that spawns in the house.

did this q about a month ago with my warlock and it worked just fine.........tried it today with my warrior and got the stuck in looting position bug....so i guess that they fixed the bug at a time and reapeared in one of the new patches...relogging won`t solve the problem so either u abandon quest or wait for blizzard to fix it again...

I did the quest and I got stuck at the box. I abandonded the quest and took it again, and the box suddenly worked fine.
Don't know if this works for others, but it's worth a try if you get stuck.

I had the same exact problem last night when going for the docket.&nbsp I went through the back and killed everyone with my level 31 priest, and went in the little house with the box.&nbsp I could swear at first when I put my cursor over it, it said something like solid chest...or what not, but when i went to get it, it said nothing, and would not give me that sprocket type icon that shows it is interactive.&nbsp I couldn't do anything so I just moved on thinking that wasn't it.&nbsp I am glad that i checked here.

hey i did this easily at lvl 28, u just have to be smart about pulling, pull the mob inside the house first, then one of the ones outside will enter. none of them are linked so u can pull each one individually that way with a ranged attack, good luck!

I solo'd this at 28, easy peasy. The house is at 24,72 & the docket is in the stongbox in the house.
