Description

Hendel? Yes, I know the man. But why would you need one of my soldiers?

Elling sent you to find him? Hmm, I don't like the sound of that. Elling wouldn't have you come to me first if your business wasn't troubling. I understand if you can't tell me what this is about, but know this: I have a duty to protect these lands. If you're going to cause a disturbance, then I suggest you inform me of whatever you can.

I believe Hendel was stationed at the first tower outside of Theramore. Be cautious.

Hendel is not at Sentry Point (The first tower outside of Theramore), however, when you enter the tower, you will get a "quest completed" message. This gets a touch confusing. What you need to do, or at least this worked for me and my friend, is leave the tower then, run to the road again, then come back to the tower. The Archmage seems to despawn when you enter the tower, so leaving and coming back appears to re-spawn him.

Speak with the Archmage to complete this part and continue onto the final part of this quest.

Simply walk into the tower right outside of Theramore Isle and youll have completed the quest. Return to Theramore to get the next part of the quest from Archbishop Tervosh in the center tower of town. He's on the top floor.

It may be possible that Archmage Tervosh is not in the tower when you get there. If he's not in the tower, be patient. It means that someone else if finishing off the last stage of the quest. Shouldn't be but a few minutes that you will have to wait.

If it says "explored" you still must walk all the way into the tower at Sentry Point....then Archmage Tervosh will appear there and he will have the yellow question mark above his head.

Once in Theramore, look for Hendel at the first Sentry Tour outside Theramore. Just follow the road. When I ran into the tower the mage appeard with a ?&nbsp (See above if he doesn't appear, I guess) You complete that portion of the quest, and he gives you the final portion. He buffs you, then you head north on the road. There will be a gold dot where Hendel is, after the broken bridge.&nbsp He's right next to the road where there's a tent and two guards. Talk to him first, then accept the quest to fight him.&nbsp I did this at lvl 30 Warrior solo. You get attacked by the two guards there along with Hendel. I had to drink healing potion then Feared the guards. You don't kill Hendel, he gives up. That finishes that part of the quest. Turn around and speak to the people behind you. You should get a ring and that will complete the entire quest.&nbsp Almost got killed by a 35 Croc on the way back tho... lol!

If you find the Sentry Point you need to find Archmage Trevosh in the town at 66 . 49

Well, all you have to do in this part in walk straight into the tower and talk to him, he wont appear on minimap before you are inside since you have to discover the tower first.

I agree that something has been altered since early 2005. I never had any problems at that time. But the quest does not give clear directions.

When Hendel is spotted, the quest should complete, or else "The Missing Diplomat" [35] should tell us to report to the tower!

Either way, this year, the quest doesn't work for me (and I have tried this quest with about 6 characters, without success).

Nobody shows up in the tower before or after I have spotted Hendel. So I have no npc's to interact with (at Sentry Point, in the tower, or in the town)!

I have reported the problem to Blizzard on a number of servers, but they don't acknowledge that there is a problem.

I had no problems with this quest. I walked down the road to the tower at 59,41. Upon entering the tower it said that I had completed the quest. I walked back into town, went into the main building (66,49) and turnd in the quest for the next part. Level 29 mage.

Run NW on the road out of Tehramore to the First Sentry Point.&nbsp It will be along the side of the road on the left.&nbsp You will also see it on your mini map.&nbsp Sentry Point is located at 60,40.&nbsp Walk into the tower.&nbsp Unfortunately Hendel isn't there but Archmage Tervosh will appear with a question mark above his head.&nbsp Talk to him to complete the quest.&nbsp He will cast Proudmore's Defense on you which will increase armor by 40, inscrease stamina by 10 for 30min.&nbsp And of course he will give you the next part in finding Private Hendel.

After completing the quest at sentry point, the mage disappeared and did not give me the buff nor the quest to kill hendel. I logged in and out still did not help.

if the mage doesnt show up you can always find him in the tower in the town.

Go to the guard tower, take road out of town to the sentry tower.&nbsp You walk in, says you've explored it, turn around and walk back into town.&nbsp Go into the castle (lady proudmoore tower or something like that).&nbsp Go to the top.&nbsp Guy tells you where Hendel is.&nbsp Done.

right after i got to the 1st tower right outside of theremore i got the next step of the quest. i was then given a buff and sent out to search for HENDEL. i was afk for awhile and decided to abandone the quest so i could get rebuffed. after doing so i was not able to get the quest to find HENDEL. i went back to menethil harbor and stormwind and was still not able to find the quest. i also relogged. what should i do? help me please!

Quest is fine, just go northwest of theramore Isle, following the road. Sentry Point will be on your left. 280xp @ lvl 28.

mm he is on theramore isle, not on sentry tower, u go there, find that tower, then back to theramor, it worked with me... he is on a tower in theramore, not outiside

This quest is still bugged. When you get the completion for exploring Sentry Point, if the Archmage is NOT there, he will be at the top of the tower in the center of town. Speak to him there and he will advance the quest.

SOMETIMES he is at the guard tower (Sentry Point) and sometimes he is NOT. When he is not, head back to town, go to the top of the tower in the very center of town, and you'll be okay.

it didn't work for me this one time - i've done this quest about 6-8 times with different toons, this was the first time the Archmage didn't spawn once i'd discovered Sentry Point...

I failed this quest and so I abonded it to start again when I was higher lvl. Now neither Saul nor the archmage will talk to me! So frustrating after such a long chain. :/

Went to the scout post, and it checked off that i checked it but didnt say it was completed. the mage wouldnt talk to me, couldnt talk to hendel, so after an hour of trying various stuff i abandoned it, and doesnt look like i can restart it, but i'll do updates.

For me the quest was clearly bugged today. N i kno whas all bout as i completed it 2 times before with other characters. N i put my ambition even if i waisted some time n tried it for 3 times once even abandoning it n retakin it from theramore... still didn t work. Blizzard s faults cost time. ):((

You have to go back to theramore and find the archmage. Hes at the top of the tower in the center of town. It's on a small hill.

Private hendel is 45,25 dustwallow marsh , just follow the road to the top and you'll find him , once you complete the quest you'll have to fight him , hes lvl 35 easy

I went to the tower and he did not port there so I just went to the tower in the middle of Theramore Isle and I found a golden dot in my mini-map. This is a good way to squish this spawn bug.
