Description

Brother,

If you are reading this letter, I am no more. How it got to you, I do not know, but thank and reward the ones responsible.

About the stones: They exist and the Dark Irons have them in their possession. Their leader, Lathoric the Black, is using the power of the stones to enslave my excavation team. They were taken to the cauldron. Their minds are twisted, working night and day to complete something called Obsidion.

Help them, brother. It is the final wish of a dead man.

Wait a minute and a scroll will go where his body was DO NOT ABONDON and u click the scroll and then a thing will come up u hit continue then complete quest and take the other 1 he gives u

I have the letter and found thorius nealing next to a stautue in IF but I can't talk to him and he doesn't have a yellow ? above him... bugged?

Dorius is in the darkiron camp along the east edge of the gorge, down in the pit between the tents. Solo'd as a 51 paladin. He will lead you to the cauldron and path up the wooden ramp, shortly after you get jumped by 4 darkirons (weak 42-43) and he then walks towards the IF gate. Once in sight of the last darkiron camp he starts a sprint and is snipered halfway between the camp and the IF gate. His dying motion is him dropping this letter on the ground and pointing to it. Sorry no loc.

So... I solod this quest as a 44 Dwarf Hunter and i didn't have any problems with those 4 dwarfs... But then... He got assasinated by a lvl ? dwarf...
Oh no!
So... i looked at the channel and saw the emote - blablablaPaper

Well... but where's that paper?

I cried until I fell asleep - another terrible day :)

I completed the quest for the Searing Gorge gate key while waiting to speak with a GM.&nbsp After I completed the quest and spoke with the GM the dwarf was walking around again with the "?" above his head.&nbsp If you still can't turn this in, try doing the gate quest too, that's the only thing I can think of (or complain to a GM but I was lucky to find one :p )

Yep, Thorius is walking the room again, and the quest completed easily.&nbsp I asked a GM to fix it, so I assume they got around to it.&nbsp GL all.

I just finished the escort quest and I was told to turn in the singed letter to thorius. I went to him and he was knneeling next to a statue, without a question mark above his head. I took the advice from the post above and turned in the horn to the lady in loch modan. I came back and he still had no question mark above his head. Im stumped on what to do...

I'm having the same problem as most of you. I got to thorius in hall of explorers but there is no yellow question mark above his head. I sent in a letter to Blizzard. Hopefull they can sort it out.

yeh i was havin the same problem about thorius and his quest marker, so i sent in a ticket and waited for a GM to contact me. im grinding in searing gorge and next thing u know, the f*ckin ticket is gone!. i go to thorius hoping that they fixed him, and they didnt.

When I read the comments I almost abandoned the quest but suddenly I saw something on the floor and yes people it was the dammmm letter.

Coords are 74.19 very near the IF door, well now you guys can continue the quest Good Luck.

Well, okay I guess the first time I didn't complete it mostly because of my fault. Didn't notice there was a letter I was supposed to pick up. I went back a couple hours later and looked but there was nothing around. Guess you others are lucky and got there soon after someone else had just done it?

Canceled and started it over. Did fine until we got to the first glassweb spider. Killed it but the instant the battle was over the escortee disappeared. I ran (in cheeta form) up ahead the path he takes in case he jumped ahead or something all the way to where he gets shot. He wasn't around so I backtracked the path and still he was missing. Ran back to the hole in the ground and not even his body was there.

Meh, not trying again. It's wasting too much of my time. >.<

you need to go to the Grimslime digsite at 75,20 and you find a dwarf on the ground that gives you an escourt quest. you almost reach the gate when [SPOILER] he gets shot and dies :( [end spoiler] he drops a letter, read it and you get the quest.

You no longer need or able to read the letter after Dorius drops it. Just take it back to IF to Curator Thorius

DoI have to do anything else than deliver the letter to Thorius? I have the letter and the quest in my questlog, but Thorius doesn't seem all that interested in letting me complete the quest - he doesn't have the yellow question mark over his head, but simply lets me know that I have his attention.
