Slay Emperor Dagran Thaurissan and free Princess Moira Bronzebeard from his evil spell.

Description

This strike against the Dark Iron dwarves, if successful, will send a shockwave throughout their entire kingdom.

Princess Bronzebeard is under the control of Emperor Thaurissan. To free her, you must kill the Emperor. Be warned, your task is doubly dangerous, as Bronzebeard will attack you without question while under the control of the Emperor.

DO NOT HARM HER!

This is a working tactic for all to free Princess Moira Bronzebeard:

1. Get a Priest in your group.
2. Clear the whole Throneroom, except Thaurissan and Princess.
3. When the group attacks the King let the Priest heal as much as he/she can.
4. As soon as Priest draws aggroe from the PRINCESS, let healer offtank her and only heal him-/herself.
5. IMPORTANT: The priest must NOT hit the princess with ANYTHING.
6. Without the Princess healing Thaurissan he goes down quickly. No big deal.
7. As soon as King goes down, the Princess turns friendly, although she suffers from Stockholm-Hostage-Sydrome.

Worked peachy for us.

Some people will insist that you can't do any sort of damage to the princess at all, but this isn't true. So long as she isn't dead when the Emperor dies it'll complete the quest. It's possible to offtank her in order to keep her from wailing on your healer.

We killed emperor and didn't attack the princess, but she got struck and kept red. If we attack her it evades!

How to do it? We even let het attack our priest and did nothing to her! Can she be sheeped, silenced, sapped, etc?

After emperor is dead what must be done?

This quest requires that you kill the Emperor, but do NOT kill the Princess. Once the Emperor is dead, she will become friendly and you can talk to her to complete the quest chain. The easiest way to do this is to keep her CC'ed, as she will heal the Emperor otherwise.

After doing the quest 5 times and having it bug every time, I heard from a fellow druid who has done it 4 times before that you need to pull Moria very far away from the Emporor.&nbsp Reason being, I guess, is that if she's in the middle of casting a healing spell when he dies she'll bug and go red right after the fight.

It is not necessary to make sure you don't touch the princess. We did it tonight by off tanking with a hunter pet with no problems. We did tank her quite aways off from the emp.

If you have to complete the Royal Rescue quest in order for Hands of the Exalted Herald to drop, does this mean it is a horde only drop? There is no Royal Rescue quest for the Alliance that I know of, unless it goes by another name.

The clue is right in the quest log... You're not allowed to harm her... that means no offtanking, no fighting her of any kind.

Anyone have any idea how to do this fight without hurting the princess, especially since she heals the emperor...

Nothing in the game is bugged?&nbsp Really?&nbsp Man, I wonder why they keep releasing patches where they say they fix certain bugs then.

There are bugs in the game.&nbsp That's a fact.&nbsp Claiming there's no bugs is just naive.

I'm saving this quest for when i am 500xp away from lvl 60. Getting 60 in front of thrall would be a nice thing.

We comleted BRD tonight and had this Q, when we killed the emperor, the princess turned friendly and returned to the throne, then she went hostile again and we had to kill her, now the quest says it is complete. Can we still hand in the Q somewhere or should it hand in to her?

You can also easily have a hunter tnak her with his pet and drain her mana. When Emperor is at 5% simply stop your pet attacking, it still should have enough aggro so she doesn't knock over your healer when emperor is dead and she still is under his control. With no mana she can't heal. Just like DB-Tribute Gordok and his ad.

the healer tank strategy already mentioned works much better with a druid or paladin. or even a shaman with NO lightning shield.

princess can take dmg she just A) can't die before the emperor and B) she can't take ANY after he dies. she will hit for a few seconds after the emperor goes down, make sure you don't attack or have a DoT on her.

We've done it last night... but the princess didn't turned neutral after we killed the Emperor... so i have completed this quest, but i need to kill emperor again to be able to talk with Moira...

Maybe she got bugged cause she suffered damage after the emperor's death moment...

First time thru a shammy offtanked her. When we got back from the instance, couldn't figure out who to turn quest in to. Second time thru (After Anonymous check) I offtanked her. When the emporer was gonna drop i feral charged him to get away from her hitting so that she would turn neutral... Didn't realize the shammy that time had an attack totem dropped that shot her. Third time thru I tanked her and had Nagelring on ((Item #11669) Didn't realize it did damage same way thorns does... I have the worst luck with this type of quest! (Guild mates are sick of going, and its hard to find a 60 mage that wants to)
