Battle of Hillsbrad

Kill Foreman Bonds and 10 Hillsbrad Miners and report back to Darthalia in Tarren Mill.
  •
Foreman Bonds slain
  •
Hillsbrad Miner slain (10)

Description

The Hillsbrad Town Registry indicates that the Azureload Mine is under Alliance control. Furthermore, the mine is a prime source of iron ore for the Alliance armories.

Even though we've struck a decisive blow to the town of Hillsbrad, the Alliance still supports and protects the Azureload Mine fervently.

The mine lies due south of Hillsbrad. Go there and slay the foreman, a human by the name of Bonds. Kill his miners as well. That should send a clear message to the Alliance.

Very easy quest.&nbsp Don't mind the sentrys outside the mine.&nbsp Just go inside the mine and take the miners one at a time.

The cords for the mine are : 26,61

The cords for Foreman Bond are 30,58.(Underground/In the Mine)

He didn't call any dwarves on me because I killed him fast but if you don't kill him fast enough he will call out two dwarves.

This mine is link city, but a group of 3 level 25's should be able to handle it without much trouble.

Enemies range from 27-28. Foreman Bonds is level 30.

as a level 28 priest. Go down the mine and take the first fork to the right, then straight, then right. There is a platform, like a stage mentioned earlier.

I thoroughly cleared the room making single pulls of each mob. I then pulled Bonds, using fear and Mind Flay when the dwarves appeared. The dwarves will die automatically a short after Bonds' death because I only killed one of them but they both died.

I got 408xp (204 rested) for Bonds, 244xp (122 rested) for the Dun Garok Soldier that spawns, 2300xp and +100 rep (Undercity) for turn in.

He calls out some goblins when he gets low on health. He is level 30.&nbsp So if you're below his level you probably want a team.&nbsp I managed to solo him at 27 but the goblins took me down after he died.

Should be easy to solo, at yellow even. Only the mobs OUTSIDE the mine will call out to each other for help (like some of the Barrens raptors do), and you only have to kill one (or two if they get help) to get inside the mine. Inside, you just have to be careful about patrols all pulls are easy singles, but they do run away, so you'll have to drop them fast or snare when they get low on health.

If you kill the lvl30 boss fast enough, he won't call in helpers. The helpers are 2 lvl28 dwarves.

quest should be easy for a rogue. i solo'd this at with a rogue at 29 just use crippling poisons to stop the miners running away and when u get to the foreman cheap shot..dnt worry about the helpers just kill the main dude and vanish..

the boss is very easy.
As long as the boss is stunned (or in my case, feared) when he reaches 20%, he won't be able to call out his guards.
very useful for those who dont have vanish

Solo'd this with my 26 Rouge.&nbsp Just pull them 1 at a time.&nbsp Hit Forman Bonds until he's about 1/4 left.&nbsp Stun him and backstab him.&nbsp Keep hitting him when the goblins come out.&nbsp As soon as he dies, Vanish.&nbsp The goblins will disapear.&nbsp Loot the corpse and go outta the cave.&nbsp The characters spawn pretty quick so be careful when leaving the mines.

Keep in mind that Hillsbrad Sentrys that are located outside of the mine will shout for help at around 30% help. If there are another sentry close by they will agro on you, pull Sentrys away and deal with them a couple of meters away =D. The mobs in the cave dont shout but they run like any other humanoids when they get low health.

DO NOT let foreman bonds reset. I performed a vanish on him, waited too long, he reset. His dwarf adds remained. I went back in and he called two more dwarves. That was 4 dwarves and foreman bonds. I killed the foreman, but I had to ghost it from Tarren Mills.

So rogues, be careful with vanish.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SOLO THIS QUEST

I died 5 times just trying to get to Foreman Bonds.. the links just keep coming they DO NOT STOP. As a level 28 mage I got owned and was constantly fighting 3+ mobs.

On a side note I'd like to send a shoutout to the 2 biggest iceholes on my server (Darkspear).

Revas and Zeru were sitting in front of Bonds eating and drinking I had just cleared the entire area before dying to a bunch of Miners.

I asked if they wanted to group and they said no.. So I tried it again and they watched me die and then killed Bonds directly afterwards and sent me messages laughing.
I really shouldn't be suprised considering how many 13 year olds play this game but goddamn I hope those 2 DIAF. I seriously hate you 2 and I don't even know you.

If you think this is funny I hope it happens to you :(

This is the second mission I have been advised not to solo (the first beeing the last quest before this one on "Battle of Hillsbrad").

Warlock Lvl 28.(specced in destruction.)>though the spec had little to say...
Went through this fairly easy with a Voidwalker, and the one before was actually harder for me. The few times I drew agro from more than one through a Curse of agony I threw a curse, immolation and corruption on both...killing the one that would run away first, first (so the Voidwalker wouldn't draw more agro.). Went the wrong way the first time, so keep to the left wall untill you see a squareshaped room...There you'll find him.
When you get to the lvl 30. Just know that he has a dwarven protector with him that you might not see. I "feared" the dwarf and the Void took agro from the lvl 30 and a lvl 28 foreman. same thing. As much pain as possible on as many as possible. only had the foreman left when the dwarf came back... The dwarf killed me bcause I missed my "Healthstone"buttton, but all in all...Seems like Locks rule Solo-missions.LONG LIVE THE VOIDWALKER(or atleast long enoughp)

This quest is the dummest I know in WoW, I went inside and was cool with 75% durability, died few times (at lvl 26). Then I reached Foreman Bonds and it took 30 mins to kill him, first I attacked him and got patrol on me - died, then I tried again, died because of respawns, then tried again... respawns, then I cleared the whole room and tried it when I have 0% dura in 5 of my items and wiped because of so low durability, then I HSsed and went to repair and came back when all the miners spawned, I killed them all again, cleared the whole room and then finished the guy with 50% health left when he spawned dwarves, I used swiftness potion and ran away with bubble, and died once more and then used spirit healer... NOT COOL!

just finished it solo at lvl 29 rogue, kill the miners on your way in the mine, just follow the "road" until you come to a dead end, and to your right you'll see a wooden "stage", go stealth and sneak on to Foreman Bonds (lvl 30), pull him a bit away from the other mobs and fight him. When he's almost dead, he'll yell for someone and 2 dwarf lvl 30 will summon and fight you. The other mobs in the room will attack you too. Just focus on Foreman Bonds, kill him (won't take much longer, about 4 sec), and then vanish (flash powder), and run away to the way you came in. The dwarfs and the rest will almost emidiatly ignore you, and sneak out the cave. Done :)

Solo'd as a 26 Feral Druid.

I killed a few miners, then stealthed past Bonds to the area behind him and cleared a few more miners out to give me some space away from Miner Hacket which just so happened to be right in front of where Bonds was standing on the platform.

Anyway, I hit Bonds with a Moonfire to make sure I didn't aggro Hackett and another mob, then switched to cat form, raked him till 4CP, then Ripped, had to heal at this point, Regrowth, Rejuv, back to cat form, then started to shred him, he was down to 30% when his adds spawned. Luckily my Regrowth and Rejuvenation kept me alive long enough to kill Bonds. I died from the adds, I could not have gotten away if I tried so I just let them kill me. At least I got Bonds before I died though. :)

Was an intense fight but managed to do it but at the start i was a bit unlucky

I was starting to clear out the place by killing a miner and then a Forman pulls....

I manage to kill the miner and then after i've dpsed the foreman down he runs off and agros Bonds,

I shift out of Cat form and Warstomp + Regrowth and Rejuvanation
into bear i go and continue to dps him keeping demorlalising roar up on him, when his adds spawn i use Demoralizing roar again, finish killing Bonds have 1/2 health kill off one of the gurads use bear stun heal and finish him off

Didn't have to use a pot (becasue i didn't have one =) )

Hope it helps

P.s. He nearly always seems to have a chest beside him, an added bonus =)

This quest is pretty lame, at level 28.

Rogue, great gear etc.

The fact of the matter is, even with double-slowing-poisoned weapons, they run and aggro friends, or sentries come along and hit as well. just inconvenient, solo.

not too hard, just killed the boss, vanished the adds away, and got killed about twice while getting the miner's required.

For rogues, this is pretty easy:
* Throw distraction so you can creep up behind more easily.
* Attack with Cheapshot + Backstab to get a quick 3 points
* Kill foreman as fast as you can
* We he gets down to about 5% and summons the two adds, do Evasion to prevent the adds from doing a lot of damage
* When foreman dies, hit Vanish and Sprint to a safe area. His adds will disappear and not give chase.

As a level 26 combat rogue, I was able to do this without a health potion.
