Description

Well, I've got the basic shape of the boots worked out, and they're coming along fine, but the skins you brought aren't going to be quite enough for the inner layers.

"What are we going to do, Drizzlik?" No doubt the question on your lips, and well, isn't it lucky you're talking to Drizzlik, because he's going to tell you what we're going to do!

The inner layers will never really be seen, so we'll just get some of the thicker, cheaper skins from the crocs around Lake Nazferiti to fill the boots out.

I had 1 skin drop in 30 kills on the banks east of Grom'gol.&nbsp I went to the southeast bank of the Nazferiti lake and got 4/4 drops per kill.&nbsp Don't waste time hunting snapjaw crocolisks anywhere but here.

Had a very easy trip to get all the five skins, go to 40.29. Very many Snapjaw crokolisk there and a very good drop rate. lvl 32's can easy kill the crocolisks, but the animals around them are lvl 37,38,39 so be careful.

I see folks complaining about this not dropping frequently... I had the same problem at first as well. Killed about 20 and got no drops. I had been Along the Eastern shore of the lake, on the northern side. I moved to the SW corner and got all 5 of my drops in about 8 kills. They seem to be much more common on the southern shore, particularly towards the western side.

This is a very simple quest in STV, just kill snapjaws throughout the zone for the quest items. They have a decently high drop rate. Lake Nazaferiti near the Venture Co. Base Camp is an excellent place to find the snapjaw crocs.

For the sake of time, you should also consider doing "Hostile Takeover" (http://classicdb.ch/?quest=213) by killing the goblins at the nearby camp, and "Goblin Sponsorship" (http://classicdb.ch/?quest=1182).

Note that Goblin Sponsorship is a chain quest that begins at the Mirage Racetrack in Shimmering Flats (Eastern Thousand Needles, north of Gadgetzan).

took me about 10 minutes to get all 5 pieces. Need to kill 8 croci. The snapjaw are all in the borders of lake nezferiti (39,17 or 42,17)

I must have killed over 20 crocs and only got 4 drops. Nice Med/heavy leather from them there crocs.

Tried it at 39,19 and had a 25% drop rate. if u just run up and down the coast where you found them, you can catch the respawns! hope this helps

This quest was pretty easy, I just circled the lake around the Venture Co. Camp and in about ten kills I had all five.

I don't know where these other guys were questing but I was near 42,20 (The Venture Co. Base Camp) and the drop rate was awesome. I was able to complete this quest in about 15 minutes

i started grinding the skins for the quest at the Tower on the edge of the lake and worked counter clockwise. No skins dropped until i was right around to the south of the lake. then i carried on down the river . Got the rest fairly quickly then.

I've gone up and down the river and killed all the crocs on the lake that i could see and i've only got 1. Either i have bad luck or the drop rate has been seriously reduced.

After killing 40 of these crocs around the Lake still havn't gotten a single skin so deleted the quest. Either this piece of crap time wasting quest is broken or the people here claiming they got 5 skins from first 5 crocs are complete liars.

Avoid this quest, Blizzard must have hired Brad McQuaid to design it.
