It is possible to use the statue without using the gem.&nbsp This summons the boss but he won't drop the book.&nbsp Make sure you right-click on the gem and then click on the statue.

ok first you need to go the

1.the iland wich is 26,6 for ppl without cosmos check the map desolace and youll see its on the edge of the map in the sea, north-west of the guy who gave you the quest. (its not that very small iland)the iland is called ranazjar iland.

2. go to the north side of the iland where there is a statue, its better to kill some mobs first if ya wanna avoid aggro, the click the statue, and kill the beast that appears. then when its dead, loot the book. done

Keep in mind that once someone has summoned Lord Kragaru with the gem at the shrine, the statue disappears and the respawn takes a bit.
So if you can't find it at the North end of the isle behind the temple, just be patient. You shouldn't be waiting more than a couple of minutes.

This spawns a level 38 naga that you need to kill. I did this quest along with a lot of other quests in there area and I wasn't really prepared for the level 38 naga. As a 32 pally I was able to solo it but it was a loooooong fight and I had respawns on the normal naga. You may want to kite him to the tiny rock island next to it as soon as you pull him.

WHOA Be very very careful of the 38-40 two atleast giants walking around. One is called a strider and one is called a searcher. Just as i finished off the guard of the statue this guy come walking up not underwater as ive seen him while ive been doing quests here but right on the isle and the very spot i was fighting the guard at by the statue. Thank god i just made it to the ocean when i turned around and saw him. yikes

Approach the island from the north as there are a lot of mobs crowded together on the south side. Besides the statue is on that side of the island. The mob is a non-elite lvl 38. relatively easy. I solo'd him at lvl 35.

The first time I killed the guy (lvl 38) he just vanished, leaving no corpse. So I waited for the statue to respawn and killed him again, the second time his corpse stayed and I could loot it. Bugged I guess.

same bug for me, when i killed him... he dissapeared, i waited for the statue to respawn and killed him again, then he left the book.
I think its a bug of ver. 1.6

I Think this was easy XP. 28.9 is the cordinates u need to open the statue (right click on it) then the level 38 mob comes front. He was easy to kill (I'was level 36 Warlock with IMP)

I'm lvl 37 mage ... The quest was no problem for me, the CORDINATES are 28.8 (cosmos). On the island Renazjar Isle. Kill the mobs and then you see a statue (right - klick on that) and then a level 38 comes and just kill him and loot the book . Soo easy ^^

Statue is at , 6 on the island. Sea Giant is summoned once you touch it.

28 : 6 = statue...it's on the back side. you can swim to the back, climb up, and take out the three guys around it. He's lvl 38, but doesn't do a lot of dmg.

approx location of the statue where you use the gem is 27,6.&nbsp lvl 38 comes out of it and only dropped the book of the ancients nothing else.&nbsp pretty lame quest.&nbsp lvl 35 & 41 hunter both got 3550xp 45 silver, and Arcmetal Shoulders as a reward.

Lord is lvl 38 non elite. Easy to kill. Solod as a 34 feral druid in cat form. didnt even have to shapeshift to heal, or use a potion. You can go into stealth right after u summon him.

Did the first part of the quest on my 33 Priest. Easy as hell. Saw the second part, figured cant be too hard, but what the hell, why not?

So cleared area of mobs, spawned him, ran back so i didnt get aggro. Tried my initial pull technique (Holy Fire+Mind Blast+Shadow Word:Pain). All resisted. Oh crap. Didnt help much that he was +5 lvls either. My wand, Cookie's Stirring Rod (20-38 Arcane, 1.30 Attack Speed), was getting partially resisted, only hitting for single digits, teens and the occasional full damage. But with Shield up, I was able to wand him down. When shield dropped, i'd wait till Weakened Soul fell, reactivate Shield, pop a Greater Healing Potion, Renew5 or Desperate Prayer, and repeat. Took 4 mins to kill him, but I did it! Woohoo! Gimp only gave 124xp lol. New bracers and 3550xp!

Hes 100% melee, uses Pummel and Cleave, hits for like max of 105. A joke. Just make sure if you cant kill him fast, pull him away from his spawn spot, theres mobs around that can spawn Healing Wards, and its a pain in the ass to have to watch him heal up lol

Slowly but surely I'm beginning to get what everyone's always on about re: shammies being overpowered, at least on lower lvl and/or vs mobs. Always been used to doing quests 2 or so lvl above me, but this one really drove it home. The guy is around the backside of biggest island NE of where you get the quest. Shows on the map - hard to miss, really.
Soloed it with my lvl 33, yes, 33, shammy. Can't say it was easy, though. Got killed first time cause one of those myrmidon suckers respawned while I was at it and 'ganked' me from behind. Second time around: layed out my totems (stoneskin, healing stream/ fireballshooterthingy) before the summoning, just kept healing and earthshocking and voila - one fried snake. That was that - 5 lvl above me... Me gusto shammy mucho :)))))

hehe, I got the pleasure of meeting deepstrider searcher the first time I tried to solo this :P (lvl 40 elite) a big mofo that walks on the bottom of the ocean with a BIG hammer... when you're a 36 warrior you won't live to tell the tale :P hehe

I just did this quest with a 35 NE druid and it was way too easy. I just took out the naga by the statue and summoned the big one. When he appeared, I attacked using cat form (no prowling) and he didn't fight back once....just stood there and let me beat him up. He dropped the book and that was it....one of the easiest quests I've done.

Managed to get the book, but the body disappeared the first 2 times, so couldn't loot. The 3rd time it worked.

too funny. my partner went off line as we were ding 3 quests in the area... and i kept exploring and grinding.... killing nagas. i had heard that the 38 naga could be a bit of a pain for casters... so i was waiting for my warrior to come back...

then a NE rogue opened the statue.... and the mob attacked ME. so i killed it. easy. (i'm undead, btw....), with an assist from the elf....

so i saluted and waved and such.... waited, and when the rogue tried again, helped her. too funny.

funnier was when i was checking out the mobs (i'm cautious, and always plot out my pulls and retreats....) and that frikkin elite 40 giant snuck up out of the ocean and pulped me.... god bless soulstones.

Had to do this twice, corpse poofed on first try as soon as it was killed. Swim and approach from the north to avoid if you want to get this done quickly. Also recommend moving back from statue when you trigger it and kill mob away from statue. First time i killed it it was right on statue and that maybe that was the problem with first attempt...

Of course, it's because I read up on the quest here first, but this quest has to be the easiest quest I've seen so far. The trip there was infinately more difficult as it was time consuming.

Pulling the local mobs off the statue first is certainly the key, when I had a safe mob-free radius around the statue, I gemmed it, backed off, and stealthed. Distracted Kragaru, cheapshotted him, then backstabbed him. Health more than half gone, A couple sinister strikes and eviscerate finished him. I lost like 250 health. I thought it would be tougher, so I potioned and scrolled (stamina). What a waste. lol.

The statue can be found on the largern island out to the north. It is not the smaller island closer to shore with the pillars. You can see the island on the top left corner of your map.

The mob is surrounded by lvl 33+ mobs in the area you are looking for and some high level mobs on the other side.

Towards the back of the island there is a statue of a lady. Right click top place the gem. The ground will tremble a bit and you will be greeted by a lvl 38 mob. Kill the mob to get the book.

where do you pick up this quest?

what happens if you have destroyed the gem because when you got the quest you figured it was too hard and you would just get it later, but when you accept the quest it doesn't give you the gem anymore?

really hope I can still do this...

Easy, just swim around, kill 2 sorceress and put the gem in, the lvl 38 boss isn't elite, and doesn't hit that hard!

Can't say it was any hard, just did it, im a 32 Hunter with a 32 spider pet. Just placed a goblin mine before i "freed" him and boom 3/4 life gone ^^
