Description

The name Stalvan rings a bell. I remember now.

Many years back, on a stormy night, a messenger came in, seeking refuge for the night. Near the stroke of midnight, the man ran down the stairs screaming, his face pale with fear. Still wearing his bedclothes, he disappeared into the downpour.

In his haste he forgot his letters in the chest upstairs. He never returned for them. One remains from that Stalvan fellow, intended for the Canal District in Stormwind. Help yourself to it.

Just to make things a bit more clear... After speaking with "Innkeeper Farley", go up the stairs to the 2nd floor and in to the first room on your right then continue in to the back bedroom. The chest was between the two beds for me (44,65) but I am not sure if it is a random spawn location. Then head back to "Stormwind" to find "Caretaker Folsom" who is located at the dead end of the path on the edge of the canal just west of the south entrance in to "The Park" (29,61)

The letter is in Goldshire in the pub upstairs. Then the 1st room right and then in the room behind between the 2 beds.

Der Brief ist in Goldshire im Gasthaus. Nach oben und dann in den 1sten Raum rechts und dann im Hinterzimmer zwischen den beiden Betten.

once you are finished talking to the guy, walk upstairs and there is a chest upstairs. open it and u get a letter. when i opened it, i didn't have to fight anything. then take it to canals in stormwind, loc. 30, 62. easy enough :)

give the letter to Caretaker Folsom, I found him between the mage quarter and park areas farthest east in teh canal area (if you go into a district your looking in the wrong place)

Can't open it either. Too bad because I assume abandoning this and trying to pick it up again will fail, as most chain quests that develop temporary glitches do.&nbsp I was just starting to get interested.

I'll put in a ticket but what usually happens is that I get a very polite form email from the GMs saying that I somehow must have done something wrong.

Oh well, everything else is working and my 29 Warrior is having an pretty good time, all things considered.

Is this quest bugged? I saw the NPC who I'm supposed to deliver the letter from the chest to-saw him before I had the letter. Silver question mark above his head. But now that I have the letter, he's not there anymore! Does he move around or something? Or is this a bugged quest? Right at the end of the canal at the corner, next to a dock with people fishing,and boxes around, right? He's not there anymore......do I wait?

just to clarify things a bit, for THIS part of the quest: while in the Goldshire Inn, go upstairs, in one of the rooms, you'll see a chest, open it (and no for this part there won't be any ghosts!) and grab the unsent letters. Then head all the way back to Stormwind and give them to this guy named Caretaker Folsom (He's @ 29,61 as someone mentioned) and voila! Done! You will now get the next part of the quest.

As others have said, it is easy to do. Just walk upstairs after you accept the quest, and the chest is in one of the rooms (I think the middle room).

I opened it in about 15 seconds, got the letter, and went to Stormwind. He's at (29,62 Cosmos/Titan Panel). He's at the very end of the Canal.

Caretaker Folsom is NOT on the east side! He's on the far WEST side between The Park and The Mage Quarter. He is on the northern side of the canal in that spot.

You will be jumped by a single ghost lady when you open a crate, just like in the school house. She's lvl 25, isn't too tough, but she curses you for 10 mins.
