I know of someone who might be able to assist you. Back when I was leading the Stormwind Guard, we used to get drinks at the Scarlet Raven Tavern in Darkshire. The Innkeeper there, Smitts, was quite an expert on the local lore. Show him this page and see what he has to say about it.

You could get the next quest after retrieving the letter upstairs where you fight the ghost witch again (thanks for 10 minutes of curse) and then take it to Tavernkeep Smitts in the Darkshire Inn.

Fastest way to get to Darkshire Inn is to walk striaght South from where you pick up the quest, This should save a lot of walking to SW to fly there

ok, so the ghost appears right, make sure that when you get unsheeped, you run away, because i got sheeped 3 times, and ended up running into the fireplace, and i couldn't get out :( qq

Actually, it is slightly easier to walk to Redridge and from there fly to Darkshire.

You need to go to Darkshire so, head south of the previous Quest, cross the river and you are almost in Darkshire.

Not sure what to make of this--I talked to Marshal Haggard, he said the quest stuff, but then never gave me an item to show Smitts. Guess it coulda been lag, but be sure you have the item before you leave Haggard, I'd suggest...

She didnt sheep me at all. Im 29 hunter and i didnt even use my pet. Now the ghost in stormwind sheeped me 3 times. It really depends. If she does sheep you then... I suggest you run. :oP

This area is just before you enter the Redridge area from Elwynn, it will be a new area off to the left before you are enter Redridge from Elwynn

I got the torn journal page from the guy's old stuff in the canal district, killed the ugly chick, and now i'm stumped, it just says this is another clue, but no one to talk to... i've been to smitts and he won't talk... and the old guy in the canal district wouldn't either...
