The Legend of Stalvan

Search through the packed up possessions for a clue.

Description

My father was the caretaker of the estate long before I was. He had to mop the blood up after the massacre. But that's neither here nor there.

The last funds of the Flintridge trust have dried up. Now the last of the family possessions are headed for auction. Blame the tax vultures. I guess if you're really itching to learn more you're free to look through this junk. Who knows what you might find.

the crate for the journal page is right behind the guy you talk to. check out the pic i posted. it is the one that is lit up behind him. click on it, get the page, then fight a lvl 25 ghost.

You're looking for a crate that you can open.&nbsp It's behind Caretaker Folsom.&nbsp It's literally behind Caretaker Folsom, but check all of the crates anyway.

Folsom is the guy that gives you this leg of the quest--if you've forgotten where that is, he's at the north side of the Canal between the Park and the Mage Quarter (29, 61 for those that have Cosmos).

It's NOT at the Goldshire Inn or the Eastvale Logging Camp (those are for the previous leg and the subsequent leg, respectively).

Look at the map above, the guy is standing just outside of the mage quarter and the park.

The crate he wants you to look in is right
behind him in the pile of crates,barrels.
There in stormwind- you mouse over the crate and
then a gear will come up.

Again, the quest and click accept and as soon as you do the ghost will appear.
She is not hard to take out, but she did sheep me.&nbsp She did not do that last time. (hunter 26)

So yes, the encounter is right there in stormwind.

Indeed when you open that crate behind him the ghost returns.&nbsp She was lvl 26 when she jumped out at me, and I was immediately reduced to an ambling wool puff.&nbsp The ghost is weak though my lvl 24 succubus whipped her up.

The next leg requires you to read the "A Torn Journal Page" upon where you learn to go to the small summer cottage near the Eastvale Logging Camp in Elwynn Forest near the Redridge Mtn zone.

Sometimes I wonder how you folks can spend so much time on here "reading" but you seem to not be able to "read" the quest information.

A word of caution when any of the quest in this chain ask your to open a chest or crate...a lvl 25 ghost will appear and start attacking. Luckily my trusty pet was on her and I merely stood back and hit her with arrows.

&nbsp So, I must read journal. then u need to find guy. He is at Eastvale Logging Camp 84,69 in Elwyn. Easy to find.

ok, i can understand why every ones confused atm... when accepting this quest, you must first go upstairs in the goldshire inn, and get the "An undelivered letter" out of a storage box in the main bedroom.
If you head over to stormwind before doing this you wont be able to hand in the quest and you wont be able to open the crate behind him. THEN go to stormwing and hand in to the caretaker.

the box u are supposed to open is next to the man u have to speak to, caretaker folsom, to the left of his shoulder on the ground (loc 29, 61 the canals in stormwind city).&nbsp when ur cursor goes over it, it will light up.&nbsp open the box, accept the quest and be prepared to fight a lvl 25 ghost, much like the one from earlier in the quest.&nbsp after u kill the ghost u will have a curse on you for 10 mins that reduces all of your attributes by 5.&nbsp good luck and have fun =)

i opend the crate, completed and accepted new quest, then there was a ghost beside me, i was sheeped instantly, but my lvl 27 pet soloed the lvl 26 ghost easyly&nbsp (lost 127 hp). dont worry about this ghost.

When I opened the box and took the torn bit of paper, I didn't see any ghost. Didn't remember that there was supposed to be one. A Night Elf standing next to me turned into a sheep. I thought he was just duelling with someone, so I stood and read the item. When I closed my bag and turned, I saw the ghost. Before I could target her, she was killed, presumably by the elf, so I never got a chance to do battle with her.

I can't help but wonder if it shouldn't have been me she attacked. Could it be a bug that caused some poor, innocent Night Elf to get sheeped instead of me?

The ghost will sheep one person in a group or a solo hunter if the hunter has her pet out. So pay attention, hunters: even if you're alone you're sheep. Either put your pet away or bring one who will take the ghost out for you.

I found out the hard way. :)

Edit: Nm. The mob didn't spawn but I actually got the paper (I guess I thought it was a first aid wrap or something). I assume I can continue the quest.

The crate is behind Folsom Caretaker along Canal. After getting the torn page and killing the level 26 Ghost (btw, curses you too. Will have to have 10 minute curse removed) Go to Eastvillage Logging Camp in Elywnn Forest and Speak to Marshall Haggard about torn page. I added this clue since its missing.

The "junk" the caretaker is talking about are the crates sitting behind him. When you right click them, a spirit appears and aggros you immediatly. You don't necesarily have to fight it, you could just run away, but at the level you get this quest it isn't hard to beat at all.
