The Ichor of Undeath

Acquire an Ichor of Undeath for Ogtinc in Azshara. Ogtinc resides atop the cliffs northeast the Ruins of Eldarath.

Description

For this restorative salve, you must use a simple formula: one part poison, two parts cure. You have acquired one cure, now you must gather the poison.

Powerful undead, such as the lingering highborne who wander the Ruins of Eldarath, are sometimes so infused with evil that it coalesces into a sickly greenish goo. To the living, this substance is known as ichor of undeath.

Due to the potency of this vile element, I require only a single ichor.

If you are in Azshara and do not feel like walking all the way back to Ironforge there are still hope! You can find it in a few monsters in Azshara!

You find them around 16, 70

Drop rate is only about 3-4%, so it is very low. At least you will get some loot and experience while trying to find it.

Step 1:&nbsp go to any capital city

Step 2:&nbsp go to any AH

Step 3:&nbsp by one of the 100+ of these items from the AH

Step 4:&nbsp retrieve teh Ichor of Undeath from your mailbox

Step 5:&nbsp Return to the questgiver and reap you easily earned reward!

I strongly suggest getting this Ichor of Undeath beforehand, from undead in Western Plaguelands or off the Auction House. The mobs mentioned in the quest description are both rare and have a low droprate for this thing.

Not worth farming the 4% drop.

The drop rate is awful.Buying it is a great idea.
Have killed over 50 and still not received it. (Did get 47 mageweave though)

no drops after killing 20-30 of them

there definitely are lingering highbornes in the Ruins of Elderath

but I suggest buying at AH or getting it somewhere else

Just buy it off the AH, I actually tried farming the ichor for 30 minutes and nothing dropped, gave up and went to AH, got one for 30s buy out. EZ

Ichor of undeath has a great drop rate in the first field in wpl. Don't waste your monies on simple reagents!

try going over to Shadowsong Shrine and grinding for them - the area's towards the beginning of Azshara - it only took me about 5-6 kills before I picked one up.

I saved the Spiritual Unrest quest until I had this quest and I got the Ichor of Undeath from one of the Highborne Lichlings. I had only killed 4 lichlings and 1 apparition before I got it. However, I wasted a fair bit of time trying to find and kill a few undead in Ruins of Eldarath before I thought of trying it here. Much easier to find undead in the spot suggested by the Spiritual Unrest quest.

I also reccomend going to shadowsong shrine (approx 17,71) near the beginning of Azshara, north of the road. You don't have to deal with the naga, and there seems to be more of the lichlings.
