Cenarion Aid

Seek out Ogtinc in Azshara.

Description

It is the way of the divine to help those in need. The how is insignificant -- only the why matters.

The Cenarion Circle has such a need. Speak with Ogtinc to lend aid to their plight. He resides atop the cliffs to the northeast of the Ruins of Eldarath in Azshara.

Make sure you bring an Ichor of Undeath with you. You need it to complete step 3.

Got this quest yesterday, priest trainer in org had it for me when I logged on (good thing I had logged off next to him :P). I was level 56 at the time, the quest is level 52. Leads to [52]Of Coursers We Know. This quest line deals with an attempted cleansing of Felwood. In Of Coursers We Know, you have to kill Mosshoof Coursers in Azshara for their glands, which are said to be immune to all disease and poison. These creatures can be found both NE and SE of the ruins, but I would highly suggest SE. They are much more concentrated and much more numerous there than in the NE. They are a somewhat common drop, got all 4 in about 20 kills. After you turn that in, you receive another quest where you have to get an ichor of undeath and give it to him. Luckily, I already had one in my inventory, so I got that over with quick. After that, you get a quest requiring you to go into the Sunken Temple to kill one of those huge dragons that are found on the main level (with the prophet and Eranikus), I forget which one.

Quest rewards are pretty good, very priest specific. One is a trinket that, when activated, increases healing done by (I think) 190-220 for 20 secs. Another is a 51.3 dps wand that gives +3 sta and up to +11 shadow spell damage. The last is a ring that gives +6 shadow resistance and +1% chance to crit with holy spells.

Obviously, Brother Joshua is for the Alliance priests.

The Horde version is identical, but just starts from a different NPC. All Horde priests can get the quest from Ur'kyo, Priest Trainer in Orgrimmar, located at 35, 87.

Do not go into the Ruins of El'Darath ...Go along the north of that heading east till you get to loc 42,42 just to Timbermaw Hold (yes another one) before you get to a little encampment she is up in the rocks. If you have a tracker all the better as she is very hard to see. Also there are lots of Mosshoofs around 53,22 if you are searching for the Glands.

To find Octinc, if you enter Azshara from South-West, just follow the road, you will eventually walk see the Ruins of Eldarath, this is a Valley full of Naga's, do not enter this. Instead of goint in the valley, stay north of it, on the cliffs, then follow the edge (North edge) and you will see a Timbermaw Quest Giver.
Good luck with finding him!

Just a hint: the third part of this quest requires you to have an ichor of undeath. This is difficult to&nbsp get the way they want you to, so go ahead and get it on the AH for 10s before you go.&nbsp Then you don't have to make two trips.

The advice above is good, i.e. don't enter the ruins while looking for Ogtinc. That route only winds up in dead ends because both the ruins and the nearby beach are surrounded by cliffs, which will frustrate you as you try to get up to him. All the while the nagas will be on your a$$ making it a bit frustrating.

As you approach the ruins from the southwest, the road forks, one way continuing into the ruins and another leading off to the right and downwards. At this fork, turn left (north) off the road and skirt the top of the cliffs as described above.

When you find him, don't fall off the cliff and onto the beach!

Edit: and you may want to prepurchase your Ichor of Undeath if you're on the priest quest.

As a 50 Blood Elf Priest
Received Quest from Trained in Silvermoon City (Sunfury Spire)
Had a 61 take me to the Eastern Plaguelands to kill Skeletons for the Ichor of Undeath
This could be easier than the AH on the money, but if you cannot get a higher level, it is hard to take the skeletons

Ogtinc is atop the mountains. To get up there, you need to go to the beach and there's a ramp at about 45,38

I took my level 51 priest to find Ogtinc.

He's at 42,42 but you don't "need to go to the beach and take a ramp at about 45,38" to get there.

All you have to do is stay to the west of the Ruins of Eldarath. Don't go into the ruins, just stay on the path that parallels the Winterspring mountain chain. Pass the Timbermaw camp, and he's at 42,42. It's a very high point, so be sure to look up. You should see his dot on your map as you get closer.

Is Ogtinc in his spot only at certain times? Was there at his hut spot and he was not there and could not see him of find him around it either. The spot 42,42 appears to be quite incorrect as it is slightly south of that little hut emcampment and almost on the lower area in Azh.

Also ... I didn't check ... are these Timbermaw's related to the ones in Felwood?

I am a level 55 Priest and I have yet to get the quest. None of the priest trainers I've seen seem to offer it. I've checked every priest trainer in my faction
