The Missing Courier

Speak with Ginro Hearthkindle in Feathermoon Stronghold.

Description

An associate of mine, Ginro Hearthkindle, is looking for assistance concerning the location of a courier and the parcels he was carrying. It has been a week or so since the courier went missing; our own searches have proved fruitless, and we're at an impasse. Unfortunately, I have had to declare the courier as missing in action.

If you have the time and resources to spare, please speak with Ginro. He should be here in the Stronghold - perhaps in his quarters.

Coords 45.64 look under the water near the shore :)

Wow!&nbsp What a tough quest...&nbsp I knew exactly where it was, but still managed to walk by it.&nbsp Head south from the boat docks at Ferales (the ones that go to Feather Moon).&nbsp Cross that small river, stay toward the clifts to avoid the mobs at the beach.&nbsp By now, you should be just a little south of where the Big map shows The High Wilderness.&nbsp There is a hill (mound there)...the only one I saw that you can hide behind while looking at the ocean.&nbsp Get behind the hill, and walk due west toward the ocean.&nbsp You will see the green dot, and a piece of wood right at water line.&nbsp Not far into the water (waist deep) you will find the boat.&nbsp I hope there aren't any more like this.&nbsp I"ve held onto this quest for 4 levels.&nbsp Good Luck!

For those who don't have co-ordinates like me....the row boat can be found just off the shore far south of the docks and not too far south of the mouth of the river. It's pretty much directly east of the most northern point of dread isle

In the first part of the quest you are looking for BOAT WRECKAGE!&nbsp It is at the coordinates everyone describes above.&nbsp It is hard to find:&nbsp

first go to the coordinates 45, 64

second look for the small round hill and the moss covered trees behind it.

third look directly west from the hill and you will see a small wooden frame and to the left of it a tiny green bottle and another piece of wood.

fourth BE CAREFUL.&nbsp There are giants and water elementals.&nbsp One of the elementals is probably sitting on top of the boat.

fifth the boat is submerbed about a foot out and is hard to see.&nbsp Nothing sticks up above the surface. If you move your cursor over the area you will get the little mark that indicates there is something to open.

On the second part of the quest, you will go to the little house in the northeast part of the island and turn in the knife that you recovered to the guy that originally gave you the quest.

there's a broken crate on the edge of the water, next to two green bottles.&nbsp Just in the water there is the broken bote COMPLETELY camoflauged with the ground beneath it.&nbsp So watch for the two pieces of rubble then head into the water there.

There'a really easy way to do this quaest. Just swim the whole way down to the location in the water, a good measure away from the Beach. The Giants won't touch you, the Elementals won't see you. When you see the boat at the shore, just wait for the elementals to walk away, and swim in, get the quest, swim out. Did it at level 44, without getting a bruise ^^

While you're doing this quest, you might as well pick up the quests Fuel for the Zapping http://classicdb.ch/?quest=7721 and Zapped Giants http://classicdb.ch/?quest=7003 from the guy at the end of the dock http://classicdb.ch/?npc=14637 . They're different levels than this one, but since you're surrounded by the mobs you need you may as well do something with them. Both of these are easy quests, and fairly decent rewards.

Surrounded by level 48-49 regular mobs. There's no casting time on completing this quest, so you can finish it while the mobs are hitting you, if you're too low to kill them.

It is at 46, 66 using /tloc. The rowboat is just barely in the water...still can walk on the shore when retrieving it. You can just walk the shore's edge until you the glass bottle and other small wreckage, then just go a few feet out into the water to get it.

This quest may say level 43 but it isn't. The boat is surrounded by level 48-49 mobs. And elite giants like to patrol that area on land and under the water.

I am a lvl 41 Mage...

I waited for about 5 min for those elementals to clear out.&nbsp They move around a bit.&nbsp I ran in and got the stuff in the wreckage and ran out with out a scratch.&nbsp I didn't even agro anything.&nbsp Lucky me!

i dont know what draconosis was talking about, but the wreckage was at 45, 64 for me. The box is under the water right off the shore. On the shore you will see some garbage, but the thing you are interested is just barely in the water.

This quest is bull.&nbsp I did this as a L46 mage and the L48 sea elementals tore me to pieces.&nbsp Can't frost nova them, can't outswim them, can't mana shield (there punches aren't physical damage, I guess?)

Sucked.

This quest is REALLY easy with a Rogue. I'm lvl 45, stealthed in - stealthed out... No probs at all. Hardest thing is finding it on the shore. The best bit of advice i received from previous posts is "Look for a 'notch' on the shoreline when viewed from the big map. Its the 2nd 'notch' south of the river. (The river is just south of the dock where you get the boat to Feathermoon.) You see a tiny green bottle and some wood... Bingo.

EASY! :)

None of you are talking about the right quest.

If you paid attention to the what quest you're posting in, you'd realize that all you have to do is run to the northeastern part of the island and talk to the guy in the upstairs part of the house.

It's just a box on the shore with planks in the water. Best bet is to swim and come in on the coordinates. 45,65. There are giant elites 48-49 on the beach and they killed me the first time. I scouted out the boat with my spirit and waited till the water elementals were away. I'm lvl 45 Druid.

good luck.

I am a level 42 druid. I solo'd easily. Swim into area in seal form. Then when near turn to cat form and stealth. Turn back to Druid when you are on top of the boat, complete the quest and accept the next quest - breath as by this time you are probably wondering when you will draw the agro. As I was leaving I drew agro from one elemental and easily escaped by just swimming away from it.

Ok guys there all wrong. The exact cords are 45.4,46.9. and if u dont have a mod for cords if u walk along the coast line of the main land where all the elementals are ull find some broken boxes and a bottle sticking out of the sand right on the shore line. When u scroll over the boxes there ull see a box that can be searched. When searched ull find the dagger for the quest. *UR NOT LOOKING FOR A BOAT UR LOOCKING FOR THE WRECKAGE THERE IS NO BOAT JUST THOSE BOXES*

Simply swim dowm the coast to 45.64 ensure you stay far enough off the coast and shallow enough to not aggro the giants or the sea sprays, oh and dont swim to far off the coast either due to fatique.
Once at your mark swim straight into the wreckage you'll see the wheel pop up on it then click.
Its also best to have your quest settings turned on to instant so you dont have to wait around around for it to unfold.
I made it out of there with only one seaspray on my tail as a 43 Warlock I hit sacrafice headed for the fatique depth then turned up the coast until it quick following me. Respawned the blue guy then headed in the way I came.

Hi

Does this boat really exist ?.
I have searched from the sea inlet mouth at 46,55
to 43,77 well beyond the elementals. I ave run the coast line , i have swum underwater just off the coast and well off the coast numerous times and still no boat.

If it really does exist and the quest is not bugged can anyone who is lucky enough to find it actally note the coordinates and post them please to save me having to waste 2.5 hours searching and abandon the quest.

Thanks
