Free Raschal from the Zukk'ash hive.

Return to Ginro Hearthkindle in Feathermoon Stronghold and let him know that Raschal is alive and well.

Description

The pod splits opens some when you touch it, revealing a night elven male who is surprisingly still alive. He seems to be in good health, though deeply stunned. As you help him down from the pod, he stirs to life.

"Thank Elune - you've saved me, friend! I... I'm Raschal, and I awoke paralyzed inside this pod after these bugs overwhelmed me. Were you sent by the Stronghold?"

It would seem that you've found the missing courier!

After attacking the pod he's in and accepting this quest, he'll appear, say a few lines and disappear. So you don't have to actually worry about escorting him anywhere.

No, derka, they're right. The quest gets glitched if you do it with more than one person: you get the quest to tell the guy you saved him.. but if someone did it just before you, it bugs you.

Update:&nbsp After getting bugged, I went back to the spot where the caccoon was.. from there I simply abandoned my old quest, and the caccoon became targetable again.&nbsp You see, when you get the quest, right below where it says "Return to bleh bleh and blah blah.."&nbsp .. it'll say a space below it "Free Raschal."&nbsp ..
Advice? Lore? No. It's actually the part of the quest. When you're the one who opens up the caccoon, you complete that part.. which is why if there's more than one person only the first person to open the caccoon gets the quest done.. even though you're both in teh same group, and both get the next part of the quest.

SO.. to sum this up.. do this quest alone, or, wait a bit after the first person does it.. and abandon the NEW quest that you get when the first person frees him (So you can do it).

Reading previous posts, this is supposed to be an escort quest. But when I tried it just now (Mar. 15, 2006) the courrier simply said that he would stealth out, and then the quest sends you back to feathermoon. Seems that once you find the pod, this quest is a total breeze.

i abadoned quest, managed to click on the cocoon again, the missing courier come out and quest completed.&nbsp only need to turn in quest now.

You just accept the quest, watch the guy talk for 5 seconds, then he poofs and you get the message saying "Quest Complete".&nbsp Go talk to guy back at FMS and reap the rewards (and get the next step).

I just kick the cocon 2-3 times and it's sayit Complet Quest.After this give it this Q and I have to go back at Ginro.Inside of cave is 71.63 (next to cocon)

I abandoned this quest cause i found the cocoon but i couldnt open it.....i tried five times....I figured that i finished the wuest some how....but when i went to talk to the guy that ends this quest he wasnt marked for complete quest......so i got pissed and restarted it.....my question is...

is there any way that i can restart this quest?

Very important to note that after you free the guy, you have to sit there and wait for him to finish babbling before the quest will register as completed.&nbsp I think too many people are running off as soon as the guy is out of the pod and wondering why they're failing the quest.

I found the cocoon and opened it to free Rachal. Returned to Ginro Hearthkindle in Feathermoon and his question mark is still gray.&nbsp This quest is bugged.

Update: I took carrotcream's advice..&nbsp go back to the cocoon, abandon quest, then hack at the cocoon again to complete the quest.&nbsp Now it says complete in the Questlog...

Don't hearth out after freeing him because you will fail the quest. Stay behind until he vanishes, then you can leave. I found this out the hard way.

I just knocked the guy out of the hive, and my quest date is completed, I thought I had to escort him out, but he just went stealthed away, turn in was fine. ? Not sure why it's giving others a hard time and wish I had an answer. I was lucky enough to have a rare spawn at cocoon to clear, that dropped a helm of the tiger +13 ag/+13 str. (Quirto was name I think)

What do I have to do to complete this quest? The guy said he would stealth out but I still have the objective to escort him out of the hive. I went back to the guy at Feathermoon Stronghold and he wont let me turn the quest in. Wtf?

revisited another day into the same cave but can't do anything with the cocoon again.

Did this quest today and was grouped with one other. we both got it and where able eto complete it. NP. We found the it down the west tunnel keeping to the right.

I saw a couple people had posted about this under "The Writhing Deep" but I thought I'd put something here too...

Apparently this quest chain was changed during the 1.7 patch. I had previously followed the instructions listed here as a 45 NE druid I waited until a Tuesday, cleared the path down to the bottom, and the pod was clickable. However, I couldn't move quickly enough to be out before everything respawned, so I died on the way up. This week I tried it again as a lvl 52, but after clearing the path to the bottom and letting raschel out, he said something about feeling dizzy, but he was able to stealth out himself. All you have to do is hack him out of the pod, talk to him, then find your own way back to Feathermoon... quite easy. You do need to clear the room at the bottom, but that's just three single pulls. I also did this on a Friday, so I can only assume that it's also been officially fixed.

Anyone having problems with Raschal simply needs to wait. If Raschal is being escorted by another player, the pod won't do anything. Just chill for five minutes, then try again.

He spawned for me the first time, but I was ganked as I came out of the hive. When I went there to try again, he didn't pop out of the cocoon anymore.

Be careful with this section of the chain! If you're in a party and your party member(s) are also trying to complete this quest, it can get screwed up: It may show complete in your log but won't let you turn it in. If you abandon it and then go back to the hive and right click the cocoon again, you should then be able to turn it in and get the follow-ons.
One thing that had me panicked was that when I abandoned it, the quest disappeared completely from my log. Nevertheless, when I fought my way back down into the hive, I was able to right-click the cocoon and the follow-up reappeared in my log.
