The Scourge Cauldrons

Speak with Shadow Priestess Vandis at the Bulwark, Western Plaguelands.

Description

Within the lands of former Lordaeron are eight cauldrons - four in the west, and four more entrenched in the east. These cauldrons spew poisons into the air, propagating the plague throughout the land for the Scourge.

The necromantic might of Kel'Thuzad is too strong to outright shut down these cauldrons, but we think we might have a way to subvert them to our advantage. My second, Shadow Priestess Vandis, will be your point on this assignment; she'll continue the briefing from here.

You must first finish the Scarlet Diversions quest. Once you complete that, he gives you this quest.

Excelent exp/hour for this quest chain, about 50k/hour.&nbsp It will also rack you up a bunch of Argent Dawn rep.

Shadow Priestess Vandis is at 82,72.

The easiest field to get the sample from is Felstone Field.

Co-ords for Felstone field are 37,56.

I made this quest chain at level 57 and could solo it within an hour. After you have completed the last step, you'll get quest called "Mission Accomplished!" (used search, can't find that quest?) when you talk to High Executor Derrington (at Bulwark camp 83,68).

The reward is an one-hand sword, a necklace and 9300 exp. And all you have to do is talk to him again. :p

Here's a little tip I got from one of my guildmates while doing these quests; if you're drawing too much aggro standing next to the cauldrons you can, instead of clearing the entire area around it, also turn in the quests at the ends of the big chains as they are all part of the same object as the cauldron itself!

Is there any quests or anything that involve the other 4 cauldrons in the Eastern Plaguelands?

It would be pointless to have the cauldrons in EPL and no quests associated with them.

Any thoughts?
