Water Elemental Bracers (6)

Description

The water elementals were no doubt summoned by Gazban, the goblin wizard rumored to have discovered the Stone of the Tides. As you may know, the Stone of the Tides curses its bearer, causing him to fade in and out of existence...

Perhaps we can find a way to counteract the curse. We can have a mage of Dalaran analyze the magical residue of one of the water elemental's bracers. I need you to go back to the island and retrieve a few specimens.

Island is at 21,21.&nbsp Drop rate about 50%.&nbsp I was able to pick them off one by one(warrior). The groups I saw seemed to have problems with crowd control.&nbsp One of the fastest and easiest quests I've done. Swam out to the island earlier in the day with another warrior, but didn't have the water elemental part of quest.&nbsp It was faster and easier solo.&nbsp The tavern/inn in booty bay has a ship's "bow".&nbsp Turn in there.

A quest definitely worth completing. The drop rate stinks, and that's the great part - you get so much XP in the process that you're a fool to abandon it!

WARNING : these elementals are immune to ALL frost spells, so go buy some fire or arcane spells from a trainer, otherwise your going to die rather quickly

between the fourth and the fifth drop i killed over 25 water elementals
pretty damn hard for a 35 rogue when the elementals are 37 and immune to poison and bleed :-P

First I killed 12 or 13 lesser Water elementals before one finally dropped. Then I killed another 10 or so before I got my next one but after that they all started to drop the bracers.

I don't have the coords, but if I remember correctly, this is the island just north of the Vile Reef. It's a pretty small island with nothing but these Water Elementals on it. If you're lvl 34 or above, solo should be doable. I did it at 36 (druid) and had no problems. Just be careful not to aggro more than one at a time. And yes, the drop rate is pretty low it seems. I killed almost all of them on the island before getting all 6. Great XP though.

i only hade to kill about 10 of them to get the 6 bracers.&nbsp i found that the drop rate is better from the lvl 37's it's close to 80% on them.&nbsp The 36's only have about a 30% drop rate

For this quest you must go back to the same "haunted isle" you did in The Stone of the Tides.

The level 36-37 Lesser Water Elementals populating the isle should not provide much of a challenge.

It took me about 20 kills to find enough bracers. The droprate for the bracers is roughly 20%.

For spellcasters, one of their main drops is Enchanted Water ((Item #4791) which is very handy. It has the same effect as Sweet Nectar, so you can save those and use the Enchanted Water for mana recovery instead while on this quest.

yes the drop rate is quite low, but i killed about 15 of them as a frost mage to get them. They are immune to frost, so you frost mages out there will have a though time completing this by using fire/arcane. But for the mages, if you use Frost Ward (Absorbs frost damage), it will absorb their attacks, making it easier for you to cast fireball/arcane missiles etc. They also drop enchanted water, which you can get and drink, so if your short on cash and cant buy water, grind these guys which drop them.
