The small pack is located in the same pond as the start of the quest a few feet away, open the pack and return to Linken who is located at Marshall's Refuge in Un'goro Crater

These go to Linken, who's at Marshal's Refuge. I got 5100 XP for thurning these in at level 50. There was no reputation adjustment.

If you hadn't noticed, the 3 items in the pack are usually what you obtain in a dungeon from the Legend of Zelda, though the key is a reference to the Lion Key from the original game that could open all locked doors in any dungeon.

If i remember right, the compass usually tells you where the boss is... but it couldn't possibly work the same way in WoW... could it?

the bag is at 63,69, just under the water

But first, you need to click on the wreckage of a large, old rowboat just onshore there. It wil give you a quest to 'look around,' and then just turn around & look down into the water.

There will be 5 items (as stated before) the key, compass, and map should be put directly into your inventory.

You HAVE to hold onto the photo until you talk to Linken (Link, get it - Link & Zelda in the pic), to start the quest line

if u are in raid and open the bag, u will not loot the quest items. so

1. leave the raid
2. abandon the quest
3. take the quest again
4. open the green bag

After u got the quest from the boat, the bag u need to find is next to the boat, under the water! it's not far! after u clicked on the bag unterwater, there will be another quest that you accept, when actually puts another bag into ur inventory. Search ur inventory and open that green back, inside there will be all the quest items u need. Take them all out and take it back to Lincin, who is just standing at the entrance of Marshal's Refuge! the cords given by the last person (44,8) is completely wrong!

After opening the the small pack you should receive an item to your inventory. Right click it and receive the three items. The next step is to find Linken, as mentioned in the quest there are a few stray travelers at Marshal's Refuge. Perhaps you might find out more there. Linken is at 44, 8. As of patch 2.3 this quest gives 7350 XP leading you to the next step, to speak to Donova Snowden in Winterspring. She is at 31, 45.

I had to remove the compass map and key from the pack they were found in to complete the quest. It would not work with them inside the pack.

TY for all the prior comments, but when I tried this quest my green bag did not contain the lion-headed key.&nbsp So I went all the way back to the row boat, abandoned the quest & got a new bag, and the 2nd bag had the key along with the picture, compass & map parchment.&nbsp Open the bag at the rowboat & if you don't get all 4 items, dump quest & get another bag.
Also, Linken is at 44,8 exactly, in front of a tree.
At lvl 56 I received 5,100 exp pts.

I had the same problem of getting only throwing knives and the photo from the pack.&nbsp I even tried abandoning the quest a few times w/o any luck.&nbsp It finally worked after a server reset (ie, abandoning the quest and grabbing the pack gave me the three needed items to talk to linken).

I get offered the quest, accept it, then get nothing. Can't open the bag, can't loot a thing. The bag doesn't give any cursor after I accept the quest. Tried cancelling it and starting again many times.

Well I also made the mistake of opening the pack while my bags were full. I figured I'd go to Marhsall's refuge and sell some stuff to clear space. To my surprise, the compass, key and parchment were gone when I got there.

Dropping the quest quest and going back to loot the pack works. All the quest items were in there the 2nd time around. Just make sure to open it ONLY when you have at least 4 empty slots in your bags and take the stuff out.
