Description

Now it's time to go after something that really bites. The prowlers of the Barrens are a tough breed. Tough, resourceful, sly... and deadly. You'll find them among the tall grasses. You'll find many to the southwest of the Crossroads.

Be wary as you hunt them, <name>, or you may find yourself no longer the predator, but instead the prey.

i found quite a lot at 53,16 under the tree and the tall grass to the east of it, only about 15 feet away.

The best plce I found was 59,37 - they are lvl 14 but I killed 7 and got 7 items needed. For those that need directions-->Head to Rachet and the trees on your left before you go down the hill just off the main road to Rachet! Enjoy.

OK... The prowlers can be trouble if you are near their level or below because they sit close to one another and do not wander too much from their spawn point. However once you are at their level or above you don't tend to get two as often.
Now to the Location, They are situated above (north and west) of an oasis that has a number of other foes circling it. The oasis is in the south and is west of the main road south. It will be easy to spot their haunts because there are tall green grasses atound the spawn. So, be warned, it is hard to tell if you are getting just one unless you take the time to be certain of it.
OH - be on the lookout for the CENTAUR guy that has 3 dogs and runs around spoiling people's fun. He shows up from time to time and he always picks a rather inoportune time to do so.

To the north of XR there is a farm, around there are bushes with a lot of Lions.

Around ratchet there are a lot of bushes with Lions too.

Finally to the left of crossroads if you follow on the path a bit you will notice Lions / Bushes in large numbers too.

the prowlers mostly stay near a bunch of bushes around a tree, and these patches are located north and south of the road heading towards ratchet from the crossroads.&nbsp good drop rate, i think 100% for me.

There are many locations of the Lions I could not list them all but the most obvious ones are at:
58/42(South of Ratchet)
50/15(north of Dreadmist Peak)

For those of you without cosmos the prowlers or just out side of Rachet near the road from the cross roads. to the north of the road by the tall grass and teh trees! it's a 100% drop i kill 7 and got 7 paws and i have bad luck with drop rates!

I'm glad someone besides myself actually noticed the error in the quest description.&nbsp It does, in fact, state that the prowlers are southwest of the crossroads, when in fact they are southeast.&nbsp I'm very surprised that hasn't been caught yet.&nbsp Although I guess it is the barrens, lol.

I have found prowlers appearing at several different spots throughout the barrens.&nbsp The fact that the quest says south-west is not incorrect, because at almost directly south of the entrance to mulgore are a few patches of tall grass/brush where the prowlers appear.&nbsp The only real rule to finding these is to look for the Grass/Brush

There is a glitch it seem.
If you don't get them all together, then they will no longer drop. I got 5, then left that quest for a while and can no longer get them. They are dropping a different claw now and certainly not at 100%

You can finish this quest right outside of Ratchet to the south (58, 42). You need to kill Cat looking creatures that are laying downs near the plants. The droprate of these claws is 100%.

I did indeed find prowlers to the "southwest" of the cross roads, they are just on the other side of the shrine of the fallen hero, it woulda been easier if the quest said to the west or somewhere towards rachet :)

I was lost at first... the prowlers are not normal lions roaming around the crossroads, they have to have prowler in the name. I still haven't found them, as a level 11 I get killed by the level 15's roaming between the crossroads and the south east areas. I haven't been able to find them in the south west area. :-(

Head East toward Ratchet and you will find several prowlers right outside the town next to a tree. 100% drop rate for me.

For the lvl 14 mobs, just look at this map and go into any of the major areas for an easy quest.&nbsp Should take you all of 5-10 minutes:

If you are withing these mobs lvl range, you can kill them really easily, since you can often find them lying down (automatic crit)

There are a bunch of them close to 58,40 in the Barrens, between Ratchet and the Stagnant Oasis.

Just come close enough for the Prowlers to notice you and charge. That way you can fight one at a time. If you charge the Prowlers, you are likely to fight more than one at a time.

I had a 100% drop rate for the Claws. Nice.

They are near The Tagnant Oasis in the Green and Bluish Bushes they are tall bushed.
Its better to go with a druid or a priest ohh and i almost forgot its better to use guns to lure them out 1 by 1 or u dont want to get trapped by a whole Group of Prowlers Hahaha :D

Gain at lvl 15 = 1050 with +100 Org rep.

The numbers you see on Alla's (like on the maps) are coordinates. You'll need a UI Mod in order to use them. Something like CTMod (www.ctmod.net) or some such other mod will allow you to use coordinates to pinpoint a precise spot on the map. Really makes life easier when you just Can't, for the life of you, find that darned area you need. Check out places such as Curse Gaming or http://ui.worldofwar.net for mods.
